If the idea is for Sombra to be a backline disruptor, not an assassin.
Then her power should be in her Hack.
Here’s an easy way to make Hacking more reliable:
Only these can interrupt hacks:
- Shields
- Terrain
- Distance
- The person being hacked doing damage to Sombra
Damage from the hack targets teammates does nothing.
Might need a somewhat longer cooldown for failed hacks to balance. Or maybe different cooldowns depending on what did the interruption. (I.e. Less cooldown for terrain blocking, longer cooldown for damage interruption).
