I see some comments talking on the situation of soldier some think he is op or watnot not. Honestly I don’t care and only passage of time will show in overbuff winrate and the devs may buff him or not. Pls refrain from any baiting (insitiative comment like : this has to be bait) because saying this on any forum is bad and I really don’t want this conversation to go that way. I will not respond to any bait and u shouldn’t. Am only sharing what I see in my lobbies ( high ish mmr)
Soldier remains one of the least negatively affected DPS by this patch and pretending otherwise is delusional.
He is still is still easy, he is one of the best users of the DPS passives and his burst damage has not been affected in a meaningful way by the extra damage.
In fact, considering his easy no cooldown disengage, sustain and safe range, he is harder than ever to dive or punish thanks to the increase 250hp.

I just don’t get how he’s “gutted”. The only change he got was a reduction from 0.08m to 0.05m projectiles which he should’ve had from the start because of his fire rate. It’s still a net buff from season 8
In season 8 his gun was already easy to use and it’s still way easier to hit shots now that his bullets have a hitbox. I’m pretty sure his helix rocket is easier to land with the global projectile size buffs too

I feel completely the opposite about this. Soldier is and has been the most overpowered hero for several seasons. I don’t feel that any non-tank can win a 1v1 against him without a lucky sniper headshot or something. He easily does 20% more damage than the rest of the lobby in my games, and he’s in every competitive match on both teams (placed master).
I will not use him in QP until they nerf him, because it’s not fair to the other team. It feels dirty.

This post is proof that you can never make a character easy enough for OW players. Soldier is ludicrously strong. You literally can shoot your rocket at the GROUND, and then land a couple of shots and any non-tank is now dead. Literally what more do you want? Being able to annihilate any non-tank in less than 1 second isn’t enough?

Soldier is one of the best dps in the game, and one of the easiest to pick up and master. He is far from being weak.

I write this message as I am trying to delete this post because my comments are now getting flagged as tos breaking bcs of some people reporting me when I post. I think I might have rubbed some people the wrong way by creating a post discussing the state of soldier 76 a kinda controversal hero as he is pretty good in lower ranks (below gm) after the bullet size nerf. Ok I did use the title as clickbait but I truly think that right now, he is not a great hero to play at high level (he is situational yes) . I am plateauing at gm5 solo only on my alt and I see streamers that otp soldier like Onlylegs also saying that he is pretty weak. I will not read any following comment as I just got a lengthy message explaining how soldier 76 aims works on high level removed for breaking tos while beign purly technical. pls dont respond to this message and gl. (ps I did write above that I would neve respond to such people but I guess they found a way to get my attention. 
)
I mean…junkrat and sym players have got more of the short end of the stick than any support or tank.

I’m literally a flex-DPS forcing myself to play hitscans for the amount of BS value they give.
Soldier is BY FAR the best DPS in the game.
