During a competitive match, I got soft locked in the hero select screen as I selected a new hero right as the first point was captured and my spawn room was moved. Attempting to exit the hero select screen caused the game to display the message “You can only swap Heroes while in the spawn room” as it does if you attempt to enter the hero select screen when outside the spawn room.
Side note: For at least getting it to where I could finish the competitive game. I closed Overwatch and reopened it, which allowed me to rejoin, but reset my stat spread.
