You can literally die while ulting as Echo and she just pops out unharmed. That’s what I mean. Then her mobility is definitely off cooldown and she yeets herself out, easy.

At which point does Echo have i-frames? Because I know I’ve died in the middle of transforming and lost all of my ult charge before.

Except he doesn’t also get 2 full heals in his ult like echo does.
I’m not saying that Echos ult is fine, in fact I find it pretty busted
There’s a very short frame of invulnerability when transformation starts(screen turns all grid-like).
She’s still vulnerable during casting(where she crosses her hands) which takes about… 0.1s?
Doom isn’t attacking while invulnerable, I don’t know why you’re comparing to incomparable things.
So is Echo. But you’re right about things being incomparable.
People are not mad cause she has two frames where she’s invulnerable but because if she dies during the duplication she gets back with 200hp or the health she had before (if you have two braincells you will not engage with 20hp, not like genji players thinking they’ll do a teamwipe with 20hp), making it very difficult to punish her for her aggro style, which can be frustrating.

The difference is that people know Doomfist, but Echo is still on the PTR, meaning you can make anything about Echo’s kit sound overpowered.
For example, that Echo’s right click can one-shot 200 HP heroes, while completely ignoring the fact that we have heroes like Roadhog already in the game. Or that Echo’s Flight is the best movement ability in the game, because she can fly all over the map, even though her Flight tech got nerfed five days ago and it’s pretty much a glorified jump button now.
Things will only settle down once Echo goes live, and everyone can see how she actually works in a normal team comp.
Man there’s some names in here defending Doomfist that I never thought I’d see defending Doomfist.

Echo’s ult:
The i frame lets her go in mess up take the form of anyone from your team that has an insane ult, doesnt get punished for the fact SHE MESSED because of that one i frame, gets an ult, kills one or two people, and goes back to safety
Doomfist’s ult:
Not in the fight, either uses to escape (if he does that he wasted an ult to escape fine with me) or uses it on a target and has big HEY WATCHOUT I AM GONNA LAND HERE, THIS PERSONS TEAM BETTER PEEL FOR THEM OR THIS PERSON GET OUT OF THE WAY sign. Cant do anything after he landed besides wasting all his cooldowns again…
One ult is broken the other is not

That’s only part of it;
She gets refunded when stunned out of it
Full heal and clense on entry
Full heal and clense on exit.
She gets all the creature comforts that aren’t afforded to other heroes.
Doom gets incorporeality in his ult. He can’t contribute to the fight either.

I meant with her entire 200hp, even if she was 20hp before the duplication.
I don’t I think I need to point it out but I’ll do it anyway most of these comments are not helping and proving vvamp2 points 
Echo is new she’s on the PTR it’ll take some time to balance her out stop acting like this is how she’ll be released everyone’s always so quick to be toxic or rude without stopping and thinking first give bliz time!
