I mean people in this thread genuinely believe that D.Va is horrible now after her minor nerf. If anyone has a ‘walnut brain’ it’s those idiots.
You are still missing the point. How do you fix a must pick? Basic understanding of why they became a must pick. The path a dps and other classes to take to get must pick is diffrent. Arguing about the end result being bad misses the whole point and as a result you make knee jerk silly balance changes that don’t actually address the real reasons for why the numbers are what they are. And if you continue to ignore the main reasons the numbers are never going to change unless you destroy heroes.
You can try playing dva in gm outside of goats and then come back to me saying how easy it is lol.

It had basically no impact on good D.Va players, hence why they’re still holding their Top 500 spots with positive D.Va winrates.
There were people who could maintain T500 with Torb & Sym 1.0 too. I guess that makes D.Va as good as Torb & Sym 1.0?

In top 500 D.Va is ran in Goats, so yeah of course she still wins there. And there have been top 500 players of almost every hero, your comment is utterly without meaning.
Once GOATS is gone she’ll still be playable in dive too. The only people who are affected by this change are bad D.Va players.
This thread looks to me like a [not allowed word] of D.Va players who are struggling after the nerf desperately trying to convince themselves that they’re not the issue and it’s just the fact the hero they’re playing is bad.
It’s hilarious watching the same people who’ve spent 3 years needing Jeff to nerf and rework every last little bit of D.Va’s kit out their way for them try and talk trash about skill.

I’ve never gone on nerf crusades against D.Va like some have, the most interaction I had with D.Va players was begging them to stop flooding the old forums with their 18 megathreads that echoed the same thing.
All I’m saying is this nerf clearly didn’t have much of an impact on good D.Va players as they’re still playing D.Va and making her work just as well.
Oh yea everyone is just a bad dva main around here, thread over, dva nerfs justified, goats will die eventually and dive will take over and game will be super peachy and perfectly balanced. :’)
Just because D.Va’s nerf didn’t kill GOATS doesn’t mean that the nerf wasn’t justified.
These guys have been playing GOATs for months now. It’s the option they are best at, their default. Of course they’re going to be playing GOATs, just because the game changed 2 weeks ago doesn’t mean they’re going to have a brand new comp that is suddenly better post GOATs. You can see even now, they’re trying out new comps that can work but don’t function as well, and that’s the result of trying to cobble something brand new in 2 weeks.
How is it just “bad” d.va’s affected? Plz explain how out right changing how an abilties to be used period against certain interactions only affects a portion of the community playing said hero. This change literally is impossible for it to be a portion of community change when base interactions where affected.

Nerfing a balanced hero and buffing the competiton for their role in the same patch, when said hero was already the better pick, is completely unjustifiable.
And to address your rather pathetic ‘everyone that disagrees with me is just bad’ nonsense, that isn’t how balance works. Heroes in this game should be balanced across the ladder. Yes, they have to look at pro play first. ‘Bad’ is relative. I’m not playing against the top 500 because I’d be bad there, and I don’t need to be as good as them at my rank, but I should be be able to compete with players of my own rank. D.Va is not balanced right now, because there’s only one viable duo on ladder and she cannot even come close to competing with them.
And in a game with only 3 off-tanks, that is a terrible state for the game to be in.

Haven’t they been scrimming since the ptr for armor, dva nerfs, brig nerfs and reaper buffs hit? I know poko made a tweet about himself becoming a zarya one trick back then lol.
I highly doubt they were scrimming on the PTR.
that is frankly because below mid masters, the lack of understanding about how this game works is frankly atrocious. Players in plat don’t think winston is a main tank for example or that running double main healer is a good idea.
Rein was played at lower ranks even during dive because people in gold don’t understand how to take angles and not just stand out in the open so they like having the rectangle.
