As a main tank main, i prefer scatter A LOT more than this current hanzo. I used to be able to dive on him with winston and block the scatter with my bubble, but now he still has 5 shots and will most likely wreck me… Hanzos storm arrow is also one of the main reasons why i think winston and orisa sucks right now, their shields can easily be taken out by storm arrow almost alone…

Balance-wise, i’d rather take Storm.
But i miss simple geometry shenanigans to be a thing.

He shoots an omnic. You realize if an omnic is shot, they electrocute? Remember Retribution, you could shoot the waiter omnic and he’d shoot sparks and electricity and eventually fall to the ground.
And in the “Hero” animated short, the omnic seen towards the beginning being beaten up by that gang is also seen with electricity.
Honestly? As someone who actually enjoyed playing Hanzo and DESPISED Scatter? No I don’t miss the ability per se, But I do miss Hanzo saying “SCATTAH”. I just love the Voiceline. My GF and I sometimes taunt each other like that, imitating Hanzo’s accent and say:
“You are unworthy… SCATTAH!” Yeah I don’t need to much to get a good laugh.
Honestly I wouldn’t have minded for a reworked scatter to stay in the game as a secondary fire with a small CD and like a Max of 50damage or something like that. to use for getting rid of that low HP flanking threat or for getting those low HP targets around corners. But it’s better this way.
Storm is waaaaaaaay (x2) more powerful and versatile than scatter but not as cheap.
Both are just stupid now that Hanzo got a arrow speed buff

Don’t miss scatter, but don’t like Storm Arrows either. Scatter felt unfair and cheap, Storm Arrows feel straight up broken. Sure they just made scatter require a bit more skill, but they seriously need to be changed somehow. Fix Hanzo 2.0 pls

I do not at all. I prefer storm arrow, though a damage reduction might make it better

I liked the scatter arrow much more. Hanzo was so chill to play when you didn’t have to consider lunging or hitting successive storm arrow hits.
Scatter was interesting because you could hit someone around a corner, but it was too easy to abuse. A really needed adjustment to Storm Arrows is to let them rebound off walls but reduce the number of them.
I don’t miss scatter. Even if Hanzo is broken right now, he feels much better as a character. Before he was underpowered with one stupid strong ability. Now he has lots of pretty strong abilities which together are pushing him over the edge. But tone them down a little and he will be a good hero.
I miss what I think Storm Arrow should have been, which is based heavily on scatter and could ricochet off of walls.
In the sense that I thought the “simple geometry” gameplay was neat and character-defining for Hanzo, I’ll very much miss Scatter and the above replacement that never was. What I won’t miss is how the old Scatter was abused, with floor shots one-shotting tanks.
Hated scatter cause I’d get one shot as a tank from across the map. Or Hanzos would immediately stare at the floor if I got within spitting distance of them.
Storm arrow is just too much. Six rapid fire arrows that can headshot every 8 seconds. I think this video sums it up pretty well. (just the hanzo part)
Storm Arrow sucks, but its no where near as bad as scatter arrow.

I was just saying that that would be a nerf a character already in f tier. He’d need a pretty big buff in order to actually fix him.
