Of adding Venture into the season’s name and basically making this Venture’s season when there’s nothing going on for them. The only thing there was is their release, nothing else. Not a single legendary on release, no origin story, got nerfed straight away, the season isn’t even related to Venture at all it’s just Mirrorwatch themed, the only thing we got is a little animated short that is basically irrelevant.
I think because this is coming up. There’s a skin for watching an esports tournament and a comic.
Seems pretty minor, at least to my expectations. I would expect the whole season or at least the whole other half of the season dedicated to Venture, but at least that’s something I guess.
They didn’t do that for any other hero. So I wasn’t expecting it. The name was just them trying to be clever. I do think that it’s weird that even the special drop skin is only a rare, not even an epic. I figured they’d have a legendary stored up for it.
ngl i totally forgot they were supposed to be in the spotlight this season, i don’t even see anyone playing them anymore, hell, i forgot they were a character at all

the character was the opposite of the devs promises of season 9 changes, to reduce effectiveness of burst by creating a one shot combo character

People were pretending that Venture was overtuned when they were legitimately a bottom 5 DPS. Very strange, but… What can you do?
I was pretty disappointed myself. No cool cinematic, no decent origin story, and…literally not a SINGLE epic or legendary…only one highlight intro…it’s a pathetic release.
Now they did have the Ice Cream skin last week, but that was kind of lame too and just reminded me too much of Mei’s ice cream skin. And the “big reward” for pride month is going to be another blue quality purple outfit?..first, the mythics felt lazier and lazier, and now the new hero releases are =(
Well Microsoft has fired half of the art team, what is the small indie company supposed to do.
if I was in charge, i would have made a OW2/Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan crossover, for Venture launch.

Each hero added to OW2 has gotten less and less time in the limelight than the one before it.
It won’t be long before they release with no voicelines, emotes, highlight intros, or skins at all.
Part of the long and painful path this game is walking to maintenance mode.
