this is why they should revert the ga changes. Making her great at healing low-health allies, and making her self-healing do more the more healing she’s doing encourages her to concentrate her healing on the lowest-health ally flying from person to person, but then they nerfed her movement…
I think just the additional movement like the bunny hop should be nerfed, not GA itself. that hasn’t changed in ages its just the techs that are causing problems
Its an example of what shes gonna be able to do. If you are facing a zarya or a rein thats ulting, getting that much healing is not gonna be impossible since most players in the mercy team will be near each other.

People can get really passionate about the things they care for, so I appreciate the chill people on the forum and in-game all the more (and try to emulate them myself lol). I’ll do my best to adapt as my Mercy predecessors have to her previous reworks! There’s really no other character like her in any other FPS out there, so even if I main another character for a bit, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully quit her.
I want her to be a main healer and not a braindead pocketbot, I think the HPS changes are good with some tweaks, I want promotion of HEALING, thats her JOB, but the GA changes are just horrid, they will make her F tier easily
Checking the math, Visor does 162dps for 6s, and Bob does 112dps for about 10s (not sure if the wall hit and up smash animation affect anything). Mercy gets 22.5 self-hps per critical teammate, so 4 teammates is 90hps. Doesn’t quite make it for Visor, but close on Bob.
However, if Visor and Bob are targeting her, then her team isn’t taking that damage, so her HPS drops the second her teammates health gets above 50%. 90hps goes to 60hps which is a lot easier to overcome.
Better than Valk’s original constant regen I believe, but it’s an ability that relies on the state of Mercy’s teammates health. Altering damage boost and heal would work, but if the other support is keeping your team topped off, then you have to ensure your by them or taking cover because you’re not getting much out of your Valk hps.
Asdfjkl;, too much math and speculating. New Valk doesn’t make you immortal, but is probably better at tanking, though only when your team is grouped up and actually taking damage, is my thoughts.
So this situation:
would lead to new Valk getting a bit more self-hps value. Probably. Hrnnnnnng MATH.
It won’t be that bad. None of the other supports have/had movement on a 1.5s cooldown, much less a 2.5s cooldown (unless you count Baptiste’s super jump, which let’s face it, isn’t on the same level as Guardian Angel).
If Mercy’s purpose is to move between patients rapidly, 2.5s is “good enough”. If her purpose is to move around just to move and be difficult to hit, then yes, she will be weaker.
Oh naturally, and Mercy isn’t one for brawly comps that clump together anyway. I just got curious about the values if Optimal Conditions™ were reached. My dreams of whambulance spamming during Visor are shattered.
Most the people who says this is a good thing or seem oblivious about what Mercy players were playing like or concerned about think that when a person who knows Mercy mentions something like “Ping-Pong”, they are confused why they are even mentioning a table sport here.
No zipping around, no more beam juggling. Which means you’re the only support that can’t safely heal team mates in any way without diving.
now probly you need a better position, if you do whatever you pay and like you say mercy at this moment is ping pong, can go forward at point of shoot the enemy healer and back to your hitscan without pay anything
Thats the actual problem, mobility, every single heroe if you do a bad step you pay even most of tanks

Let me see if I can kinda understand it.
Mercy can’t jump to enemies. She jumps to allies only. That’s how the ability works. There aren’t a large tier of Mercys outside of ulting who fly to you and whip out the pistol. Infact, if a Mercy outside of ult kills you with her pistol regardless of the support or DPS you are playing, you probably deserve it.
but now she has to pocket her ally DPS instead of jumping around to her own teammates. If you think people were whining about people who play Mercy being unskilled pocketing “e-girls” that do nothing but boost an OP DPS to kill you than just wait till these changes roll out.
i never say anything of dmg boost, pocketing or whatever. I pointed something specific: Mobility, ping pong or mosquito call it whatever you want
About my example i just saw that on aspen twitch, yea she’s a top 500 player, but she’s not that skilled, not the best aim, not the best movement, she just a good player
Pointing the example: Ult, his tank died, shift the tank icon, go back, go forward, back and forward that 4 or 5 times while shooting, she hold the point alone against 3 or 4 people and she almost killed the new tank (cant remember name)
and in low elo, gets worse because if a dude top500 cant hit the character imagine in plat elo a hitscan trying to hit a mercy who knows the “movement trick” and its not hard to learn it…
