I feel like they would’ve said something if they were. There’s still the season trailer on monday but that’s usually just cosmetic stuff. Idk, they never promised reworks this season, but like come on man I’m exhausted of hog and I want to play sombra again

Fitzy said Sombra rework is not till next year but is definitely coming. They’ve been consulting him for it so he knows what’s up. I find that reassuring. Fitzy wouldn’t hurt her.
I want to assume that they wouldn’t do Hog or Weaver before her, but those might be easier fixes. I really don’t know.

You don’t want a situation, where all tanks rely on self heal to survive. To get past shields, you can still position better, but imagine every tank is gonna be like Mauga. Shields are good

Actually impressive we are in August and not a word about the reworks. Like surely they are working on them since the majority of abilities for the new heroes this year are incredibly safe retreads.
They announced back in February, that any further announcements on the reworks for these heroes wouldn’t happen until after Season 3. Likely, the news probably won’t come until BlizzCon where they might have playable versions of the reworks there, or at least one of them.
While a lot of the character designs for these new heroes often feel like retreads of existing heroes, keep in mind that a lot of them are presenting new abilities, animations and appearances and that can take time, too. It’s very likely that these heroes have been in development for at least a year given when they were announced and their finalized designs placed on the Roadmap.
And it’s possible they aren’t going to do the full reworks they promised either. Wouldn’t be the first time. Reaper was supposed to get a full rework, but adding an ability and changing some numbers seems to have worked fine. Others may be in a similar situation.
It’s a different situation though. Moira and Reaper were up for rework because the kits were a bit bland. Hog is actually like a detriment to match enjoyability and Sombra has a weird witch hunt against her to the point where she gets nerfs at a 45% winrate
And yet Moira and Reaper are both doing OK after a few adjustments. I shudder to think about them attempting to redesign Moira again. Previous attempts were outright disasters.
They tried to redesign Roadhog already. People hated it. So they went back to his original design. It’s was a “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” situation.
Still don’t understand the continued Sombra hate. She’s no where near as problematic as before. Unless they plan on doing something crazy like move her to support, I don’t see a redesign being well received.

I don’t think she needs a rework either, but if they don’t then she absolutely needs some serious buffs. And the derangement will probably continue even after she’s reworked so I honestly wouldn’t care if they just went the support route they’ve tested it before and it showed potential
