Yea I can agree with what you said, Horizon isn’t awful but there are other maps I would rather play than it. Paris, like you said is awful. I like the aesthetic of Paris but the layout is just god awful
Nope. I love 2CP. I want more of them. The only one I don’t like 100% is Horizon. And that’s only because its “indoors” and really limts vertical mobility on heroes like Pharah.
I like 2CP as a concept though. Anubis and Paris are two of my favorite Maps. I played Paris a lot when it was in Arcade. Super fun.

I love Control for Comp though. It’s so cut and dry. You keep Control twice, you win. No distance measuring or “how much of the point did you capture?” and all that like with Payload and such. Its just, you won two rounds, congrats on your Victory

I would say, in general:
2CP > Hybrids (like Hollywood) > Payload only > Control
However, if we’re talking Comp, specifically, Control moves to 1st position.
Thats probably why people don’t like it. 2CP requires the most team work, in my opinion. And, we’ve proven people don’t like to work as a team… In a team based FPS… How ironic

Ironic, as it’s one of my favs. If I had to pick my Top 5 favorite maps, I would say:
- Paris
- Hollywood
- King’s Row
- Temple of Anubis
- Blizzard World
As you can tell, I really enjoy 2CP and Hybrid maps.

I have yet to lose on Paris actually.
While I do like control a bit more in comp than QP, I don’t think my personal order really shifts

Sometimes I wonder if these kinds of replies are made by trolls to spark some sort of hate war or by someone really passionate about the discussed topic but that makes awful decisions in their wording.
As I told Aster, I just like how “cut and dry” Control is in Comp. No measuring Payload distance or any of that garbage. Just, You won two rounds, congrats on your Victory. It’s “clean”, I like that.

I think Paris is a beautiful map but it is a little messy sometimes.
God forbid you lose a team fight on defence for first point because by the time you get back, the enemy team has two ticks - possibly even close to fully capturing. At least the second point is great for defending.
But the second point on attack is a real struggle sometimes because the only open space is right on the point so getting there can be a real grind.

It’s not just you, it’s a common thing I see every now and then in these forums. The way people express their opinions is usually in such a strong way that looks like they say “Well, I like this, so your opinion is now invalid”.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to point particularly to you as a troll because I don’t know you (You might be, you might not. I don’t know.). I’m just genuinely wondering why I see so many replies of this kind.
I just returned to the game recently and I have to agree that this is by far one of the worst maps I have seen to date. If your defensive team wipes out on point A, the probability of any of your teammates making it back even with the dumbed-down Lucio speed boosting is slim to nil.
Every time I see this map load up on quick play, I quit out and seek a new map.

No. I like both Paris and 2CP. I don’t understand the hate for the mode at all. It’s not any more or less fair than others, especially in competitive where both teams take turns attacking and defending.
No 2cp and Paris are not trash. Its just harder to get your teammates to group up and stop feeding. People dont realise that grouping up at spawn when you cant win is a great idea.
Blizz just should have made another game mode to break it up. Like we thought they were going to do after they made capture the flag game mode.

I’m ok with 2cp, hybrid and payload. Koth is the one I hate the most.

I felt the same way regarding being worse than Horizon, but I actually like both maps now.
2 CP is my least favorite game mode for sure. I don’t necessarily dislike it, but to me, it’s:
KTH>Payload>2 CP
2cp is my favorite gamemode and I find Paris to be a good map.
Mei walls? What in particular are bad about them on 2cp?
