You’re in Bronze, and was Master before I decayed. You’re also a Brig main, so you have little experience of playing vs Brig against another hero. You’re also playing vs Brig’s that have much lesser experience than the Brigs in my games.
She needs reaction time to keep up with Tracer, sure. Very little game sense, and no cool down management. I mean, she’s already in the 1v1 where she intends to use the abilities. And, of course, no aim, as you mentioned.
Hanzo + Junkrat is not a common comp in this meta at all. I mean, if we’re just going to throw in heroes for shield break, let’s chuck a Bastion in there. Problem is, he’ll get punished for the rest of the game.
Forward walking is much faster than backwards walking, so that will only buy small amounts of time. And you’ve got to get through probably a DM/Zarya bubbles too. And Brig only needs to be 6m from the enemy Rein to set up a team wipe.
But you have to bubble before Brig bashes. Brig only needs to interrupt the Rein, she doesn’t need to kill him. Brig bashes, Zarya shields Rein, Brig’s Rein shatters. So now everyone except Rein is on the ground. Doesn’t make much of a difference.
And stunning Brig back literally achieves nothing.
But I’m talking about realistic in-game examples. Reins don’t typically try to 1v1 Brigs.
Doesn’t need to die. He just needs to have his shield down at a predictable time, so he can be shattered. It’s easy to create these circumstances by stunning the Rein. Which Brig can do with next to no risk, thought or skill required.
That is what I am saying. They are not playing all the time or if they do, they don’t understand the game to a point where they can see what is wrong with it.
Are you saying you decayed to bronze that fast? Because you have a total of fewer won games than I do, 523 vs 553 over your entire career. You are also lower level than I am, 143 vs 160. We are both in Bronze, according to your profile.
You are either smurfing, or lying.
As for the rest… yes, I like playing Brig. She’s fun (and cute).
That said I am doing better as Junkrat or Moira, especially if you look at death / kill ration where my Moira is 2.6 lives per death of my own compared to 1.2 for Brig.
Point though is that Brig, pre nerf, is still easily dealth with if you use a hero equipped to deal with her, like say Orisa, Bastion, Junkrat, Pharah, a sniper, Sombra…
The game obviously needed another off-sniper hitscan with indestructible deployable TNT…
When you add more gasoline to an already burning fire, what do you expect? This game has balance issues and Bliz either can’t get it right or does this on purpose.
I’m really unsure where this notion is coming from though? There are masters and GM players who play every day who don’t once post on the forums.
This is also different from your original statement. People can be knowledgeable and skilled at the game while still enjoying it. People can recognize the flaws and still have fun.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not arguing that i think the game is perfect or that there’s nothing wrong with it. But your statements here don’t really hold up.
It feels more like an attempt to write off the opinions of others as meaning less than yours or mine rather than an actual point. There are people who understand the game quite well who do not post on the forums, and that does not mean they come and go or that they don’t care.
Too many snipers in a game are boring. One shot kills are boring. Uncounterable mechanics are boring. This is my opinion. This game could be so much better.
This is my first account on PC. I played on PS4 from release to about Season 9 where my peak was around 3.2/.3.3K. I’m also not Bronze, nor have I ever been Bronze. The lowest I’ve ever been was 2.4K. You don’t decay past Diamond. I haven’t dropped below 3K since I first reached it on PC.
My profile doesn’t show a rank since I haven’t done my placements this season. Not sure what you’re talking about.
The problem is that there is a full team that Brig is a part of. A full team that will send Bastion back to the scrap yard and continually knock Pharah out of the sky.
Brig isn’t just moving behind a 500HP shield, she’s usually behind a 2000HP one as well.
It’s so many complaints because this is a game designed to be played with a team, but most people play solo, so there is a lot of friction.
If most people are like me, half their games sucks, because your teamed with people who don’t want to make a workable team comp. People would rather be stuck in spawn then pick a tank and healer.
It’s just so irritating that the game is so fun when everything comes together, but when it doesn’t, it a complete waste of time.
Your playstation profile is hidden, Professor Doom, so I just have to take your word for it.
You’ve never been in Bronze on PC? That part is really not that important, though your portrait has a bronze marking around it with a single star. Aka level 143. Also you still have fewer won games than me on PC.
Ok, look. my post was about why the ppl are negative in the forum and not what ppl from outside thinks about the game. Not everyone is a forum person so they won’t say it even if they don’t like certain part of the game.
Regarding the pros, they usually have their own communities to complain about stuff and all it takes is to make a youtube video/twitch stream for blizzard to notice their opinion.
The part where you have to be, otherwise “the fact that she’s behind Rein” wouldn’t be a bigger problem than if say Soldier was behind Rein.
If you have a team to help YOU, it evens things out.
Also, for anyone else here… Please clarify for me: If you have not yet made your placement matches, is your portrait always Bronze?
Soldier can’t stun through Rein’s shield and set up a team wipe. The only counter play to this is for Zarya to bubble the Rein, but this has to be done before Brig stuns, so it isn’t even really counter play.
No, the Bronze portrayed represents your XP level - which is irrelevant. It doesn’t change based on your rank. You can’t tell someone’s rank by looking at their potrait.
Yes. It’s a major reason why at the top level GOATS is meta. Brig enables Rein while simultaneously countering him. Rein gives her enough room to advance and stun the enemy Rein. If the enemy Rein is not bubbled, he will likely either die or if your Rein had ult charge, get an uncontested ult off on the enemy team. In either situation, his often leads to a team wipe.
Maybe because I’m playing against people that know what they’re doing? Put me in games with Bronze players, and I can assure you they’d be a lot higher.
There’s this ability that Rein has called “Earthshatter” - it’s actually his ult.
Anyway, Rein hits the ground and then all the enemies in range in front of him and in LoS fall down for 2.5 seconds, during which time your team can kill them at their leisure.
Then don’t let them?
I have watched a lot of pro plays, and it is possible to counter GOATS. Even on a pro level. And “down” on Master and Grand Master it should be easier still.
That said, since she won’t be able to stun through shields next week this part is moot anyway.
Oh I’m sure. And i don’t mean that insultingly.
I am just a little amused, but I guess it means you’re climbing slightly slower than I am. Within a year or two I might have caught up
It’s not moot, but I’m glad to see this change. She’ll still be able to stun a Rein and set this up but it will require teamwork and skill, unlike now.
I climbed 600 SR in 2 days. That’s actually really fast.
You’re awfully optimistic to think this game will last that long. But that aside, usually people don’t keep climbing forever. They eventually hit a wall and then start blaming their team.
