So, how does one even nerf Tracer?

I have many times. Who does Tracer keep in check? The two primary Supports that Tracer keeps from fully dominating?

You can find the answer for yourself with a little thought.

I do agree that Tracer should not be in range in the first place. But Rein’s range can actually surprise you.
If Rein moves the hammer while swinging, so that the hammer is on top of you at the end of the first swing, the next swing will hit instantly, meaning double damage before you can even react.

if you let a rein swing at you thats a you problem

Yes, i am Rein. That is exactly my problem which I am dealing with.

They can reduce her projectile size. It’s way bigger than it used to be.

That’s actually not really true anymore…

Simple falloff range changes makes her balanced

Outside of a full rework the only things you can touch are her damage or fall off.

The point of nerfing a hero isn’t for them to never be played anymore. Sounds like you want her to be garbage.

They can start off with reversing the random damage buffs they decided to give her, then nerf her damage even more and nerf her falloff.

Rein does 100 damage per swing not 75 so she dies with 2 swings even now. Tracer must be unplayable garbage rn

Na. She is a heals check. We need her to check on heals and train them

So the hero isn’t trash even though rein can kill her in 2 swings?

No that hero is not trash. I can kill a Reaper as well with a charge and firestrike.

Does that mean Reaper is trash. Of course not.

Then what does this even mean

Just to respond to the title, one could nurf her hp recovery amount on recall. It would make her more reliant on map health packs.
I’m not saying to do this just that it’s one form of nerfing. Usually I only see DPS nerfs and then I hardly see ppl play her.
I get that a total hp recovery is very thematic though with how she looks and feels in cinematics, and rewards perfect timing. She has so little hp though that she’s almost always full hp so recall is always full return. She essentially has 290 expendable hp if this part of her kit were not nurfed.
Well… more I guess considering the hp changes. Idk what her in game health is rn. 175?
That would mean she has an effective 349 expendable health at best.

Maybe read it and understand. The post is right there.

If it helps, i never asked to nerf Tracer. I am defending that hero.

  1. Tracer is just as dead in 2 rein swings with 150hp or 175hp
  2. So she can’t get away with 25hp. She would need 225hp to do so
  3. So 175hp or 150hp doesn’t make her any different against rein.
  4. So even now the hero can be completely killed and made useless in 2 rein swings

Longer Recall Cooldown, or Recall recovers half as much HP.

lets not give any Idea.

I think she is good where is she. If she was weak, they would not have brought her out in OWC.

I’m not saying to nerf her hard to the point where she’s no good. I meant bit of small nerfs like fallout damage or make the projectiles smaller.

Plus, imagine having the best DPS from a moba or a fighter from a fighting game be Meta for years. You would think you would get bored of playing a character that has the best chance to win due to always being one of the best heroes/characters in the game.
