So have people just given up on comp?

50% of my games everyone in my team insta locks DPS.

Guess I’m buying the new Destiny expansion.

You could use the LFG and assign/lock roles. You don’t even have to buy it.

Honestly it feels like it I get better team comps in quick play.

All of a sudden people stopped using LFF because teams of premades with the usual smurf here and there are abusing of teams completely made of randoms. It’s just not fair anymore.

So back to the solo Q hell.

LFG is better than solo tho.

Trust me, I use Solo a lot. But the times I do use LFG I feel like I’m playing a team game.

It does improve quality of life in a way. But games take so much more effort, and teams can get burned up rather quickly.

From a cognitive point of view, OW has so many colors and everything happens so fast at times that the average brain can barely bear it. Once the team gets through a few games it all goes downhill.

I mean are you planning to play a couple like 3 or 4 or y’all together forever. I’m out after 3 or 4…

Most players know the basics to grouping up. It’s just when nobody clearly cares like in Solo q, everybody just does their own thing.

The only problem I have with LFG is that it can take too long to find a group or a game.

I dunno but my first game today had a 3 stack that was playing worse than I do in qp and said the point is just to have fun and the second game had a super amazing Doomfist on the other team that just carried.

Pretty much everyone I know considers it a joke. There’s a reason why CS:GO has 5 times more fans that watch it’s competitions than Overwatch. It’s because this isn’t really a FPS and they really don’t care what happens in it, just trying to milk every penny they can get from the players.

Agreed. I stopped using lfg because people would be all nice at first. But once poop hits the fan they yell, call each other names, Main tank is the boss and calls all the shots ect.

And I tend to have more fun and win more games with solo que.

Because bad dps is the main reason for losses at low elo. Dps quality varies massively to the Widowmaker that can’t hit the floor if they fire down and the Pharah with 80+ elims at the same SR.

Mercy can heal 50 damage per second and in the same time a Junkrat can grenade and mine stuff someone to death for 240 damage. Pure numbers are on the dps player’s side.

If you’re truly better than you are, dps is the fastest and most efficient way to climb. I’ve done it myself with Torb, to mid gold, and will be picking him up again once his rework is active.

I’m looking to start dpsing myself. So frustrating to lose a game as a support when I am on silver kills with 15 and cards at end show enemy Pharah with 30+ kills, 46% kp and enemy Widow with 21 elims with 55% scoped accuracy…

If Blizzard never really cared about comp at all then why would people still?

Fun fact, I’ve found it’s actually harder to win matches on my alt which is in high gold then on my main which in diamond.

Same. It’s way more fun than trying to flex for the team.

Overwatch is a casual chaotic circus and it feels good to embrace that.

The highest I have ever been is diamond one tricking bastion… even with the large amount of tilt/throwing it produced I still climbed fast doing that.

Main account playing properly sits at 2200 like for 3 seasons. Although account I made for main heals is now 2700 and climbing… after I quit using coms, ignore team comp and just play what I want.

So many games as a useless widow/doomfist/whatever and we still manage to win with me having no medals.
