Yes, no doubt. Been trying to up my Zarya game. Never used D.Va much outside of arcade and qb but tbh, I am unsure how much the increased cool down to DM would affect her play but irrespective, D.Va kind received a double nerf. /sigh
I just feel bad for Orisa, real bad.
I am silver tier, at best so…cannot comment much on GM level play but being the only mobile shield tank, yeah, would still be needed at any level. Just that I would die much faster. XD
Reaper actually does relatively well against Tracer. You just need to play him a bit more like an anchor in a similar way that Winston deters her. He is just much more lethal. He is basically Brig without a stun and you saw how the (not the best and some of the best) Tracer players complained about her. I understand the higher you went the more the armor was the issue than her combo. But still. Reaper is not bad in that MU.
He’s pretty low effort for huge damage potential, less effort than Junkrat imho. He will be good and make tank and support lives a lot harder.
He will still struggle with Ashe types of DPS, but the damage to the already lesser desired classes is just going to widen.

It is okay, having to adapt. Life is all about adapting to changes. Trust me, I would know having changed jobs across different industries since university graduation until now across 18-19 years. Now those were huge and way more important.

It’ll make it harder for her to win the mind game and eat ults and ana nades. She will also be worse against Tracer because the 2 second CD means tracer will be able to reload and unload an entire clip into her critbox in between DMs.
Orisa does more damage to armor plus she still has fortify plus armor making her the best value for healing in the entire game. You gotta think, armor is less effective but still offers damage mitigation and increased heal value.
I think they did this to future proof heals for new healers so they wouldnt be too cancerous when stacked.

As Jeff Kaplan said, for D.Va, DM management really becomes more important now so yes, totally agree there. Then toss in reduced effectiveness of Armour, yeah. That why it is a (big) double nerf to D.Va, as I mentioned.
Orisa’s Fortify still has a real Long CD though but yes, totally agree. She would do better against other tanks. So again, yeah, didn’t think of that, She may see more usage now.

Echo appears to be the next character which would be released and hints all point to her as a healer class so indeed, legit insight there.
Well, it is all about adapting and over all game balance is, ever, an on-going thing. So just play, adapt and see how it goes. =)

I think in that scenario if he was like some of those psychotic mccrees that tunnel on me I would put damage in him force him to fade then b line for their most vulnerable support. He seems like hed be a worse mccree in that scenario but he would be super tanky hmmmmm

I wasn’t responding to you but since we’re on the topic i’ve adapted to many d.va changes and nerfs in the past but there just comes a point where it’s more of a chore then fun which is what this patch is going to do, i’m not going to be some dps instalock and i’ll still be playing frog boi but i think my d.va and winston days are over, ether way as you said it’s just a game but it’s not the only game.
Actually people seem to think it will be an overall buff to some heroes like Soldier , Tracer, Orisa, etc.
When in fact it will only be a slight buff against only 7 heroes out of the 29. It wont be a buff across the board.
Tbh I still think this patch will change nothing and people exaggerate that armor hp tanks gonna be useless. Other tanks won’t be even affected by this change, armor tanks will still have some dmg reduce with armor so they still should be strong
Does this bring the PTR changes along with it?

Hopefully 3 dps comps can outskill and out play tank and heal heavy comps. I always get 3 to 4 dps on my team and enemy runs a lazy op tank/ heal cheese and gets a free win.
