I too pick a new main every season since I pick what hero is the most beneficial for the team and ensures the best winrate for us with my best estimations. I also think that picking a hero for selfish reasons like “I simply main them” is a bit toxic

i’m going to try to be a projectile player for a while, meaning i’m looking to play hanzo, pharah and zenyatta, i haven’t given them an honest shot i feel.
You better be doing it right, then! Spam his medal voiceline and reiterate your rejection of parenthood.
Still main healer heroes more Ana/Zen or Mercy if I want chill.

I’ve tried only hitscan to improve my skills and i did well 7/3 on placement
Doomfist. After that I’m doing Orisa, D.Va and Zarya. Out of the entire roster I feel those 4 are my weakest heroes, everything else I can play without any issue or worry at my level (DIamond / Masters).
I think I will start practice widow this season on HS only and try to main her for the next, thanks OWL.
On hitscan only, i could play Ashe and Soldier at a good level, mccree and average, but i was really bad on widow.

Not really a comp guy but I did swap from tanking to supporting so I do have some new mains: Lucio, Zenyatta, and Baptiste.
Baptiste would be fun to pick up.
I haven’t seen any pros use him at all, so picking him up and doing something out of the ordinary would be neat. Being the master of a hero that’s largely overlooked cause of the timing/co-ordination needed.
One the pro teams swapped him in for Brig in Goats variant. Worked well. Better range and still plenty of AOE heal, plus the invuln field is always nice
Reaper is the new God, beware. Those sweet Shadow steps behind back lines, the lovely life leech, mmmmh.
He can be easy to counter but it’s so damn fun to play with right now.
