So can we kill the ‘Doomfist is OP’ myth?

“Good anas are familiar with doomfists animations and dont miss”.

The “good” player argument goes both ways.

Since were talking about “Good” doomfists-

“Good” doomfists really dont engage with RP like this (on squishy targets, they might use it to displace front line tanks for their team however).

And even then if they DO engage with RP and miss it- Theyre not going to Uppercut/slam away, and then RP back in immediately- Because they just put slam/uppercut on cooldown, and this is basically a guaranteed death sentence.

Im going to put it like this:

If Doomfist genuinely DID have half as easy of a time with ana as you insist he did- And it WAS so unfairly stacked in doomfists favor against ana-

Doomfist would not be getting picked about that 1% of the time that he has been lately on public stats

Ana is the most picked hero in the game at most ranks, and is pretty much in every game, quite often on both side simultaneously.

If any hero, such as doomfist- Had such an overbearing advantage over Ana, a hero who is quite arguably a very strong “enabler” for a teams capabilities- Doomfist would be getting used a lot to “counter” her.

He isnt.

And theres a reason for that.

Its because- despite what paper-crafters put together about their “in theory” match ups- He doesnt just delete her with ease. Even if he was just used to TRADE against her- that alone would be enough to warrant his consistent use against her. But not even that is the case.
