I disagree. The recent triple support attempts I’ve gone against has left zarya dead on the floor, simply because doomfist is such high burst damage, but it’s controllable, meaning she gets no charge from it.
If anything, orisa is a stronger counter, simply because she can avoid his e shift combo, and halt him away from using rocket punch. She’s designed to counter him lol.
Doomfist is not nearly as reliable as the other flankers, or as OP as current Hanzo for easy burst damage.
He has an in your face playstyle that uses most of your abilities to set up and puts yourself at risk/death when you make any mistake. But now that he’s got some survival and the time for people to understand how he plays it’s a problem.
Accepting that you got outplayed is harder than coming to the forums and whining for nerfs to a hero they didn’t put the time into understanding.

Now tell me how any of those characters are OP, one of those characters have actually been damaged by people’s pointless complaints, it’s junkrat, how can he be a area denial character with a peashooter that also has the slowest projectile speed in the game, they should have left his bomb size alone, people complain about him even now.
People are also under the hysteria that hanzo has arrows the size of logs because they were like that in beta.
Don’t expect anything other then complaining on this forum because that’s at least 90 percent of the forum.

Its a vocal minority complaining about burst damage, the same crowd that more than likely got Junkrat and Hog nerfed.
What they dont realize is that burst damage is a counter to armor, and quite a few other things.

I feel like it was entirely blizzard, they made her easier to use at the cost of even more nerfs that lowered her overall power and before that they nerfed her 2 weeks after her buffs because some OWL players along with people who don’t like hack on the forums.
Literally no sombra main asked for her current version or those nerfs before it.

well before all the rework, nerfs, buffs she actually had a nice niche… she was very powerful on 2cp and some payload/hybride maps with good health packs locations.
but ppl in this community cannot accept a hero being niche… and not working on all maps and team comps.
they want to play their most fav hero all the time…
The single moment where Sombra is relevant is if there’s a good doomfist on the enemy team. Play her exactly the opposite of what she was designed for: hold high ground behind your team and never flank. Moment that doomfist dives in, hack him and he’s dead. Repeat till he switches off, then switch off cause Sombra isn’t exactly useful at the moment except as a counter to flankers like doomfist, genji, and tracer.
She is supposed to be a hard counter but a couple of things have happened to make her less consistent against him
Hack bugs
Sometimes it breaks for no reason, allowing Doomfist to get an important pick before you can stop him. Even you do so afterwards and kill him, a traded life can often win him a teamfight, for example trading enemy Mercy for Doomfist. This was not a worry before.
the introduction of Brigitte
Armor depletes shields and halfs her already relatively low damage. This can sometimes be enough to keep him up long enough to allow him a pick or an escape.
While this is an intended function of Brigitte, and is not Doomfist’s fault, it nevertheless means less consistent results.
Sombra’s translocator is now destructible.
Sombra is a flanker, so she is she often in the enemy backline not her own. However if a DF is present, you can leave your translocator near your backline so that if someone makes a callout, you can be there and help out.
With DF able to destroy it and Sombra moving slower in stealth, her ability to do that and make full use of her kit as a flanker has been lowered.
the 2 second cooldown added to hack interruption
Now if she receives any damage whatsoever from any source while trying to hack Doomfist, she will be unable to stop him from getting a pick. Doomfist kills very quickly, so that is a huge deal.
Now, a good Sombra who isn’t experiencing many random bugs can still be good enough to make him switch off.
Just because she has these issues, that doesn’t mean she isn’t a hard counter.
Just that it has been made more difficult for her at the same time he has been buffed.
And that is going to very much affect the people who are only playing her because they need to counter Doomfist. And even then, even an experienced Sombra can just get unlucky and have hack break at a bad time.
