Smurfing is disgusting

I’ll be honest, it sounds like you’re unironically suffering from a form of antisocial personality disorder. This type of behavior is one that can and will negatively impact your life once you’re out of school and in the real world. Go get some professional help, you might start feeling better. No amount of trying to play it cool and pretending to be in control will resolve those issues of yours.

Is being a man is out of date nowodays? You must be joking, not a good one tho.

Yes, society does not support toxic male behavior anymore.

Don’t act like you are good at psychology, my school time was over like 20 years ago, and I have kids who are at the school already.

Depends what is your perception of toxicity and what is your perception of a male. But I guess society like to hug complainers, will fix their issues for sure (not a case bro, only hard work and right mindset helps)

You said complaining about something is not “manly” - > toxic masculinity.

What I’ve said, that you shouldn’t be complaining when resolving is on surface, but you are just so lazy to accept it and to do any job by yourself, so you complain left and right about your problems, yes, that is not manly, and that is not toxic, that is bare facts that hits you.

It’s not unreasonable to expect to play with people roughly around your own rank - it’s why we even have ranks. Smurfing, whether dropping down or even using alt accounts, craps all over that process messing with SR gains across the board.

Unsurprisingly we have defense of it by the usual “git gud” bs or brushing it aside by even questioning if people are smurfing. They are, and it has every bit the effect on the quality of matches as cheaters do. It’s garbage.

Neither is curb stomping low level players for sh!ts and giggles.

You can take any game with a competitive ladder and it would be working like that not more that 1st year of its release, then it becomes uncontrollable enviroment. I can not be “matches vs equal players” when it is not actual sports or OWL, there is no stakes at all but rank numbers, which could be achieved in a matter of time by any player who is stubborn enough to get the skill.

It is just players and it is just a game, but if you cant enjoy it, you should find a way to fix it. These non-men motivated me to be a man at least, so big thanks to smurfs who gave me lessons back in days. Idc what they do in game, I will find a way to take advantage over it, and you should.

I’ve got a solution - console ban them

We make all these change so high level players can enjoy the game as well apparently but these same scumbags are allowed to ruin my game

As long as people stay within their own ranks, it organically works fine. It’s when people smurf or screw around with alt accounts that messes it up. Thinking that this is fine somehow because you think anyone hit GM is wrong on so many levels.

And yes, it IS just a game - a game with rules and regulations like most competitive games to provide players with a fair competitive environment to play in. You don’t dunk on 10 year olds as an adult and tell them to fix it. Well, maybe you do?

If it’s just a game, then go back to your own damn rank to have fun there. Go mess up their games instead of the low level ones. But you don’t want that, instead you smurf to stomp noobs for ez kills because it’s just not a game for you and you in fact do care about your rank.

There is no point to even discuss it since the reality is way different from this utopia. You cant tell smurf - “go to your rank”, and he be like “Oh, sure, I must forgot!” Ppl will always be seeking what gives them more emotional benefit, and telling “but this is not fun for others” is not working as well, cause you are the only person who is in charge of your own experience.

Don’t exaggerate rules, rules exists to break them, riot or indulgence you decide.

What are these games? I used to play csgo, dota, lol, valorant at high ranks and there was the same and it is the same still.

Have no interest in hurting ppl, I prefer click heads in game instead, bad comparison tho, more like manipulation, but doesn’t work on me. Game is a game, sport is a sport, life is life, you cant take serious examples from life and compare it with a game that way, it just have no sense, if you understand what game is and what other kinds.
Let me give you actual case how things work in games like OW (competitive)
You buy a game, 1st day you are noob, silver or gold (my example) better players (smurfs) beat you hard. You think, wth, how are they so good at the game? You start learning, practicing, get some results, increase your goals, reach it out. Then find friends, they will find you, cause you are skilled player, they will complain, how hard is it for them in silver to get smurfs who spawn camp them. You boost your friend, he drop back, complains even more, then you teach him how to play, he get results, now you play with your friend here an there and with many other friends who still in plat when you made it to gm. And they will be glad, they have their own “smurf protector” kappa. Maybe one of them will climb to gm and you will play there. But you can’t take care about all of them, or about the rest of playerbase.

PS: If someone want to dunk you in real life, you have 2 options, runaway, or take a fight, and there would be consiquences both ways. In game, there is no consiquences, that is why it called a game, at least here even 10 y.o. boy can protect himself, developing ingame skill. I was able to, when I was 11 and it was cs 1.0 game if you heard =) There was always a guy into this internet-cafe who was destroying everyone at local publick server, everyone hates him, but I was dueling him every day, and one day I won. Respect + (GTA theme)

Exactly, people are manipulating the system, one they used to climb up in ranks, to abuse it in lower levels. Only Bliz has the power to change that, sadly. And sorry, but no - it’s not fine just because it brings them joy no more than it’s fine for when cheaters do it too.

No offense, but that’s just garbled nonsense. Rules exist to be followed for the structure of the game, that’s why they have it set up. Come on, you know better.

Any competitive, multiplayer game is going to have a set of rules to play in. Again, you know this. Very, very few games have an anything goes approach and for good reason.

First off where are you getting the hurting people part? :grimacing: Go back to the example. Basketball leagues of all kinds exist even to the point of gender to promote fair play. It’s the same exact principle for the rules in Overwatch. You don’t have to overthink it beyond that. It’s quite simple.

The rest of your stuff just devolves into the usual git gud. But let’s simplify all this.

You obviously smurf, and enjoy doing so. You have no problem with this because as you said, it’s just a game so who cares? I’m still curious to know why you don’t go back to your own rank to play? Pick whatever hero you like and go nuts, because who cares if you climb or not, right? It’s just a game and doesn’t matter.

Honestly, if Blizzard isn’t lying when they say they’re looking into ways to address smurfing for OW2, he’ll get his “just deserts” eventually.

Smurfs want to have fun, but they don’t want to loss sr at that expense. Naturally terrible human beings.

It’s basically the same old story: first year students get bullied by last year ones, then they grow up and bully the new students themselves because “I hAd To PaSs TrHoUgH iT, tHeY mUsT tOo”.

Smurfing is wrong because, in order to do it, you have to break the game’s rules.
The fact that you can do or that others did it to you doesn’t mean it is right.

Just go play another game then if its gotten to that point.
