Exactly. Someone else said all he does is vod review, when in actuality he takes any chance to berate the player for cheap ‘laughs’. I hope people aren’t paying money for that, because then there’s a problem on both ends. He seems like a chill guy tbf but he’s also part of the streamer-problem with this game.
Seemed clear to me from the few of these I’ve seen that they’re tongue in cheek and that the audience that submits codes for review do it in the hope they’ll be similarly roasted.
The worst is seeing an army of incompetents attacking a guy at that level of competence, a guy who has proven to have not only a good analytical sense when it comes to the game, but also interesting solutions.
It is actually vomit-inducing.
Dont forget that these people (Seagull, Flats etc.) are not just “content creators” and “youtubers”. They are ACTUALLY some of the best players in the game, and they are well connected with many of the other top players, including pros of OWL.
This is not something to scoff at, because it means, that they are echoing not only their own opinion, but that of the entire upper echelon of the playerbase, as it is by bouncing ideas with these players, that they have formed their opinions.
These player’s opinions are just worth more than ordinary players’, and I think deep down many of the ordinary players (and especially the bad players) know this, but they can’t accept it, and therefore they resort to name calling.
It is simple envy, because they know they don’t have the same influence.
honestly its just his personality, i have no issues with disagreeing with him but some of his takes are bad purely because he is only worried about his own experience, like his take on the battle pass being easy to complete because he streams for pretty much 24 hours and does nothing else while some people have jobs, families and friends, completely tonedeaf from him
There are some stuff that I agree with and some stuff that I dont agree with. Personally I think he is one of the most reasonable CCs out there without any hard bias. But the forum reaction is pathetic every time a CC is mentioned. I think it comes from projection that “they are the reason why the game is bad” and from jealousy that they have such a wide reach with every single comment and video.
The forum in general as such a low stand, because how it reacts to everything, that people with troll and unreasonable comments have the most “screen time” so to speak and therefore make the forum look like a bunch of stone throwing neanderthals, that have zero clue what is going on in the game.
People need to grow up, and making fun of his appearance (he even lost a lot of weight over the last year!), is the lowest think people can do.
Like Op said: its normal for communities to discuss things that CCs say and not just crap on them because of pure hate.

Regardless of the whether or not they should be used, the supervillain and the literal war criminal have caused actual death and suffering through their actions and policies they’ve pushed. They can’t be compared to a video game content creator.
No idea seriously, Im getting old and Im losing a lot of muscular memory and reflexes and agility for the game, curiously most of the people in low ranks and below play another game.
For example Moira in low levels and medium levels is a THING and hard to deal with.
A pharmacy is also terrifying, sometimes a turret or a torb or symm can do wonders while people scratch their head with a widow ashe-wanna be.
Some people do not know how the game work, are not aware, others in the same matches flank get an escape route repeat…while your or the enemy team do not care or didnt realize he is repeating the same route.
And also they have played in coordinated matches with other people in comms, something harder to see around as many people have left the game, there are not such groups or hard to play with. So yes I understand they are good players but the vast majority of the playerbase do not play the same.
We can listen and they can have awesome ideas, but some of them when they play, they play a total different game Im used to. Sadly and with free to play, that is the public.
The other day I saw seagull destroying with a junkrat, same can be said about a good soujurn, now…go to where people are playing and boost damage as mercy a soujurn to see that shots are not landing. Meanwhile… the team that goes easy and cheesy get reward instantly taking advantage of skills or turrets above skills.
I mean, the issue with ow is its design, is hard to balance for all ranks (something i think i heard them saying), and so sometimes their takes are from the point of view of someone that find easy what the general population dont do.
His biases are annoying and I have a hard time taking his balance suggestions seriously because of them. But I wouldn’t attack his appearance for them, that’s low
In his live streams if you disagree or give a different view point or you don’t mention specific things in what you say he will tell you that you are blatantly stupid, nonfunctional human, that shouldn’t have an opinion because you aren’t the same rank as him and thus need to take a seat with the others who aren’t human either. He will rant about this for a hot minute. He really likes to relate to being not top500 to being a useless stupid person IRL.
Why do people care so much about what Flats or any streamer has to say if you don’t like them?
If you don’t care for their opinion, ignore them. Simple as that. What you don’t need to do is do what some have been doing and call his physical appearance out. That just shows you don’t have any actual valid arguments against him.
Some things streamers say or point out are valid criticism, sometimes they aren’t but sometimes those “right” or “wrong” opinions reach the devs directly and may be taken serious for future patches/changes.
Some posters just take it a little further than they should and OP is pointing out those observation.
