Since Fitzy isn't playin ow anymore

He’s currently doing a Soldier unranked to GM no visor challenge, but when he hops on his main, he tries to play Sombra asmuch as he can. Like Stevo on Sym, though, he gets a lot of throwers because “bad hero”.

Hasnt bap only been meta after rush started? I remember he was off meta even after he got mega buffed for a while because ball metas suck for bap.

I think he was off meta during the brig zen meta but after that hes been meta

I thought that was only for like a month

I think it was up until this point bap was sitting at around 2/3% PR

(This was like at the end of ball zarya meta I think and start of rush meta)
Then he became hard meta

Before that tho I definitely remember him never really being meta

who the hell is “Fitzy”?

I think he was strong but he wasnt meta; ball was by far the strongest tank, but more importantly tracer echo zen were all super strong and that promoted a very bursty dive meta where bap’s weakness is

That was really until januaryish. When they nerfed dive bap became hard meta again with rush

Yes, I blame them all.

Game is legit trash now. Blizzard is trash now. Game is so dead that a ticket + priority queue can still take 6 minutes to find a game omegalul

No wonder people move on.

Because Hitscan and Double Shield are “EZ and OP”.

I don’t want to watch players lock Sigma, Bap, and Soldier every match. It’s not entertaining to watch, it’s boring to play.

Who wants to watch folks point and click their way through enemies and/or shoot shields all game?

Haven’t really noticed any other streamers I follow leaving. Maybe some more variety, but they still main OW.

Fitzy is a good guy and I hope his stream continues to do well, but I don’t have a ton of sympathy for OTP’s.

I have heard the term wintrading in other discussions. What does it mean exactly? Also how can accounts be boosted in GM? Don’t you have to know how to play very well to be in that rank?

It usually means someone is getting payed to throw a certain player’s game, usually a popular (or unliked) streamer. At the very least, someone who throws a specific players game to make them lose

Imagine a gold player giving a GM player their account so they could get to GM. The GM would naturally climb up to GM since it’s their elo, but the gold player belongs in gold, not GM. So if they play, they will have the skills of a gold, which would show in a GM lobby. Of course, it doesn’t have to be gold but the rule still applies.

You can also have a low ranked player buy an account placed at grandmaster already. Or you can have someone duo with a cheater or a very good player that causes them to win enough to be a much higher skill bracket than they are. For example, a diamond mercy hard pocketing a cheater all the way to GM.

Yeah I don’t get how you do it, games have to be extremely grindy/addicting (like Runescape) for people to not burn out, I feel like the happiest/healthiest streamers are the ones who have a whole range of games to stream even if they are very similar games

Part of the reason I’ve played so many hours of Overwatch was because I only played in small doses

oh … ok.

Yikes. That is awful. Thanks for the explanation.

I think the matchmaker knows quite well how good someone is. People should play in the skill level they belong in.

Met this kind of things in gold around 3 times, people using other accounts (and that is against tos of course) and their excuse was ‘‘I need to make a living’’

of course reported, I know we all have to survive in this world, but do it with legal things -.- it is said clearly on tos ‘‘no account sharing’’

i mean it was clear as the sun they were not playin like gold.

Mightyy - Twitch
Questron - Twitch
rubensargasm - Twitch
And any OWL flex dps/sombra specialist that currently streams will be playing loads of sombra on ladder rn too.

ah, another streamer who has dropped the game even though they barely did any variety before. People really do be ready to risk their streaming careers to get out of OW brain rot torture jail asap huh

Stevo and Fitzy were honestly the bulk of my Overwatch viewing content after the “OW YouTuber era” ended. Without them I barely even spend time on twitch anymore.

I understand and lot of streamers explicitly stated their coming back for OW2 but still doesnt makes the current drought better.
At least they’re preventing themselves from literally despising their game so much at even the sequel will be hard to pick up.
