Thanks for the bump, i added the suggestion. I have also removed push to talk.
Push to talk has been implemented
Update to Push to Talk control: It doesnāt work on Console without the Push to Talk Voice Chat Mode.
That said, the ability to change Voice Chat Modes between Open Mic and Push to Talk needs to be added to Console.
Itās worth noting that this is already on PC as well. On Console though, itās stuck on Open Mic by default since thereās no way to change it as of this post.
To add from Tuesdayās update: They actually added the Toggle UI Control as well. Itās at the very bottom of Controls.
Also:
* Target callouts to a teammate like ult charge and group up (Lance)
^This was implemented in the Communication Wheel Update on January 9th, 2018. So it can be removed from the list.
Bump
(post must be 20 characters long)
Updated my post for push to talk update, and removed those suggestions.
The ability to change Voice Chat Modes was implemented as of today, April 10th, 2018.
Couldnāt find anything else though for Console-specific things that were added .-.
Thatās the push to talk thing right? Cause if itās not, I canāt find it in the list.
Yeah, itās for Push to Talk, which works now.
This is TRULY needed on console. Especially when Blizzard switch your server region, for no reason.
not sure if youāre still adding but on xbox you can join someones game even if youāre appearing offline.
i donāt play on console so i donāt decline anything but iād like to point out some issuse with some of your wishes as i am a frequent user of every sorts of consoles
while nice and useful hard in realization on console. you would have to either use your phone or display keyboard or external keyboard. your performance would get poorer and using any external devices would be problematic for you.
they (or at least some) are supported as far as i know, there are probably some regional restrictions connected to psn/xbox live problems rather than blizzard. doubt it can be easily overcome
why tho? in games accounts are separate even if both connected to blizzard. i donāt see why should cosmetics be shared.
this could be abused by people who donāt want to buy the game again on pc but are okay with only qp so they would play on pc for free.
this is the first time when i hear overwatch on consoles has regions. it can be hard anyways because it uses servers of sony/microsoft and they probably work differently than blizzards and i donāt think they have regions from what iāve noticed.
XB1 is region free.
PS4 is also region free; though Sony does recommend that discs and consoles be from the same region for the best performance.
Adding on further as well, that claim still wouldnāt make sense anyways. I can play Overwatch on my NA PS4 in the Japanese Language just fine, without any issues at all. If you choose any of those languages listed (at least for the extreme most part) otherwise, Overwatch will still play in English. The Consoles themselves already support all of the playable languages that PC Overwatch supports as well, soā¦ yeah
Thereās no way for Blizzard to say it canāt be done, if cross cosmetics has already been proven to be implemented before. Case and point, Fortnite has it. Though Iāve heard that itās only true for the case between PS4 and PC. My information on that could be outdated though and it might be true for XB1 as well.
How many people that play on Console actually have a Blizzard account linked? And if itās only for PTR and NOT live PC, then whatās the harm in letting us give our feedback for Consoles as well?
I donāt think anybody on Consoles want another case of Ana happening; Ana was never a problem on Console; yet she was unnecessarily nerfed on Consoles as well. The result? She was so bad on Consoles that her winrate dropped below 40 percent. Yeah, not just below 50%; it dropped below 40%. And she was the only character to ever have such an abysmal winrate on Consoles.
Regions are no different between Console/PC in this regard; there is likewise Americas, Europe, and Asia.
And if Paladins can implement Region Change just fine on Consoles (yes, itās a thing), then it can be done for Overwatch too.
Thank you for answering these for me, havenāt been on these forums for a while.
thatās not what i meant
i am not saying ps4 or xbone is region lock. but publishers and deals with psn and xbox live still exist. i mean something like this:
even tho eg new god of war is fully dubbed in polish i will only be able to play it in polish if i buy it from polish playstation store or in polish shop, if i go and buy it from german distribution the probability is high i will only be able to play in english/german. same story with many japanese games that when localized to english donāt have original japanese voices included. this IS a regional restriction because it is usually local distributors decision to include or cut dubbings in particular languages.
i didnāt say it is impossible to be done. i am just saying it is unfair to buy the game on pc and suddenly have all cosmetics unlocked on your brand new account bc you have them on your console account. if cross play or account transfer was possible then yes this should be implemented.
also on the side note: the cross cosmetics were implemented only because people were complaining (they were right) that they canāt get them because hots is not on consoles, but they put them in regular boxes later on so anyways it was another placebo implementation just so people would shut up.
still people can find a way to hack their way to live servers.
also i donāt think that feedback for consoles based on pc is a good feedback. unless you promise to play on controller etc. i do agree tho that in some particular cases balance should be different on console for obvious reasons
About the available languagesā¦
I still cannot understand the reason because some languages are not available for all the regions. They say that itās all Microsoft and Sonyās fault.
In latin america, a lot of games have only āPortuguese (Brazilian), Spanish, English and Frenchā. Overwatch is one of them.
But, games like Hitman, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, RiME and some other games, have all the languages available.
It shows how the publisher can make it available for all the regions.
Overwatch should do the same.
Iām still waiting for the day that iāll be able to play in Germanā¦ (iām a german living in Brazil and bought my game here)
Wellā¦ It seems that Overwatch Central has used this list in a video. Weāll get there!
I took the time to reach out to Ryan on Discord regarding these issues. I actually used my thread, but luckily both links are intertwined and thus together ;o
I will make sure that I see this through to the end. And thatās because:
