Why do the devs keep introducing these characters that are grossly over-tuned to the game in their launch? With the exception of course to Lifeweaver and Ana way back when she was first released in OW1.
This character (Sierra) has to be by far the most obnoxious character in the entire game. Far more annoying than Sombra and Wrecking Ball. And before people say, “Oh, she’s only an issue in metal ranks”. Please stop lying. In Masters she’s extremely annoying and problematic to deal with too. And not just because her ult is grossly overpowered. The entire kit is problematic.
She has far too much mobility. I have no idea why they keep introducing high-mobility characters, a small hit box, a tracking device that is no skill at all to land. A very stupid ult that wipes with ease. Like what are going through these devs’ heads ?
I complained about launch Vendetta, because she was also broken. And had no business in the game. I also complained about launch Jetpack Cat. And let’s be real, she was just Blizzard’s way of showing they can copy Rivals. And Cat was just outright annoying. But, this is the most uninteresting and obnoxious pos character I’ve seen in a long time in a video game.

Half your issues with her are easily avoided by using natural cover.
Extremely predictable mobility that can be destroyed
Her ult is not that good now that people have learned how it works. It’s great when combos with zoning ults, but that’s the same for Amy AOE ult (Dragons, BastionN etc.)
Except it does require skill to land? And is easily countered by… using natural cover (are you sure your Masters? You sound allergic to using cover)
Her base gun damage I do think was fine at 7 though.
TL;DR: OP has a skill issue. (Mostly)

Don’t forget no damage fall off. Being able to outrange Ashe as a hyper mobile character is genuinely insane rofl.
She has a ~31% pick rate with a ~52% win rate in comp. I’m quick play, she had a ~53% pick rate with a ~53% win rate. She is dominant in every comp tier up to diamond easily. You only start seeing fall off in master rank, but still shes top 3 for pick rate.
These numbers are genuinely insane, even when accounting for the fact new people will be playing her. But this dominantly?

shes not overtuned and we have data to prove it accessable to anyone.
to elaborate: she has decent winrates in bronze, silver and gold but its falling off linearely depending on elo. in gm+ shes as low as 45%. shes a classic noobstomper.

In my Masters lobbies, she’s pretty much perma-banned like Sombra. What are you talking about? Actually, no. That’s not true. Sombra is getting banned less than Sierra. I’m not in GM, so I cannot speak for GM players and her performance there. That’s not my business and or concern, as that isn’t where my performance is at. But, people don’t want to deal with her bs in Masters. And that’s a fact. And in those lobbies where she isn’t banned, she gets trashed sometimes by her own team for picking her.

Unless you are the one getting her banned, I really don’t believe this at all. I’ve seen like, 3 Sierra bans (In Masters) at almost 200 games played this season.

People ban for a lot of different reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with how powerful a character is.
Maybe they don’t want to deal with a counter.
Maybe they just find the character annoying.
Maybe the character is new and they don’t want to put their ELO on the line trying to learn the match up.
Then we are clearly different different games, or maybe you’re on console. I have no idea. Our experiences are different. Very much so.

i also play in masters (eu) and sierra is almost never banned. instead, what people ban on EU is: hazard, dva, tracer, occasionally things like hog, doom, jetpack cat, mercy, ana, widow on maps where shes strong. i even see pharah banned more than sierra tbh. and sombra i basically dont ever see banned. and even more rarely played.

Now see, that’s fascinating. I can’t think of the last time I’ve seen Hazard banned in 1 of my games. WM gets banned depending on the map. DF catches bans 50-50. Dva and Ana as well. It is interesting how things can vary by region.
Properly one of the least problematic dps, the new guy is way more powerful
Thats the issue with both Sierra and Anran, those new dps heros are poorly designed, both are weak when released, so they keep buffing the numbers, making them OP in lower ranks but still weak in higher elos. Instead of buffing the numbers, they need to change their abilities to allow more skill expression. Right now, both hero are pretty easy to play, but also has limited skill celling.

I feel her weapon is overtuned but the rest of her kit is fine.
The weapon definitely needs changes. Whether it be: Falloff, decreased ammo, lower damage per shot, a big nerf to the ult (it’s stupidly op), etc.
