With the falloff removal now she can be played by medium range, she’s used to prevent enemies to reach certain places and to reduce their mobility. She’s not only used to stall, but she’s used mostly in 2CP (defense) and KotH, she could be played in many maps but you need to be sure the maps have chokes and if you’re are in attack or defense.
“Aiming is low-skill”
“Headshots are low-skill”
“Predicting movements with projectiles takes no skill”
So if not having to aim is skill-less, and having to aim takes no skill, then I guess literally everything is cheap and skill-less? Is this really the direction we’re heading?
Welcome to the Overwatch Community!
And this is why you don’t buff niche characters especially when they are annoying to deal with.
There is no counter play, because she’s switched to from spawn and the whole team makes it back from spawn even if she dies in a result!
Yeah because people never changed to Tracer and Lucio in Overtime just to jump around the payload or blink around it until their team arrives. You probably haven’t even seen a Mei before Wrecking ball was introduced.
Not when you’re in the center of its zone right when you hear her talk.
People pretend like it doesn’t actually catch people.
For most heroes, yes, there’s still time to get away. Not all, but most. The point is, Blizzard doesn’t catch enough people generally to be considered a top level ult. Most heroes on the roster have the ability to either escape or become immune, even if they’re at ground zero when Blizzard activates, so long as the person behind the monitor isn’t caught sleeping. I can list those heroes and which abilities I’m referring to if you’d like.
Blizzard, as I stated earlier, is primarily a zoning ult. It is very effective at doing that. It compliments Mei’s playstyle and kit perfectly. It does have value. But the impact is usually not at such a high level to be considered “one of the best ults.” At least not in my experience.
If you’re in the center of it, 9 out of 10 times it means the Mei is right next to you, because they don’t tend to throw it far because the longer if flies the higher the chance a D.va will eat it.
If the Mei is right next to you, you already have a problem as most heroes. And the ones who don’t have a problem with a Mei right next to them are the ones with the mobility to escape her and her ult.
… you can’t stall of 5s without being able to get killed with both lucio and tracer. you will most likely die.
… also they removed the ability to stall with sombra and im very happy about it!
