Should Ultimate Healing Override Purple?

I’m all for support playmaking, but it really sucks that most of the support ults are made useless by nade, especially if you’re forced to use the ult before the nade (ex. grav early to force tranq then nade).

That is what the purple stuff is for … to counter extreme healing. It sucks when I start deadeye and someone holds his shield in my face … should shields negate ults?
