I’m breaking off from the game. Might come back, might not.
I enjoyed it! Most games became rote, and like any relationship the minor things start building up over time to being annoyances that are too difficult to put up with.

It’s nothing specific to Overwatch, it’s just burn out on my end.

Most other players, particularly those painting themselves as dedicated, seem to treat their burnout of Overwatch as a depressing break up. If it wasn’t Brigitte prompting the leave, something else shortly after would of as well.

As someone who got massively depressed in real life and started playing OW a LOT as a kind of escape, I would very strongly recommend giving OW a break and spending time with friends irl instead.

Fun as the game can be sometimes, it is on the whole, a negative influence. Toxicity, frustration, anger etc. which end up making you feel much worse.
I was playing OW, and because stuff was going wrong irl, it became really important to me to be good at the game and to do well in that at least.
Now we all know that a lot of the time, victory/defeat are out of our hands with this being a team game, so I started getting super tilted really quick, and felt worse because I wasn’t even any good at computer games.

The moment I stopped playing, it felt like a weight was lifted. I started hanging out with friends more, doing hobbies that weren’t stressful (OW pumps you full of adrenaline, and can make you feel awful in longer stints) getting more exercise, and spending as little time with screens as I could.

My mood lifted really quickly, because I was focused on doing positive stuff.
I still play now, but nowhere near as much as I used to and because I had a break, I can see how ridiculous it was to take it so seriously.

Hope that’s of some help to you!
