Tanks should be able to attract a lot of fire on themselves. A small size tank doesn’t make for a good target which means the dps will rather focus on anyone else but the tank.

Devs stated in the past that the hp pool of an hero is reflected into his hitbox, the bigger you are the most hp you are going to get.
In my opinion tanks should be big, it’s one of their distinctive traits after all.

I mean that Ball is a wacky hero no one saw coming and even some people in the dev team thought it was “too outside the box”, so anything is possible.
Yes, just give them some special that caps any single point of damage to 50 and make it a limited number of charge recharge over time so they aren’t invulnerable with a pocket. 175 hp, small hitbox, lower then dps damage and short range. Throw in some defensive and/or disruptive abilities. Add some super high tech slim armor with built in technobabble technology powered by some super rare material and piloted by some skinny guy/gal.
There you go, small tank that will be able to function like a tank.
Depends on who you ask… There are those on the forums who think Roadhog, Ball & potentially other tanks are just “fat DPS” and that the only real tanks have barriers
I disagree with those people. I think Roadhog and Ball are great tanks in their own way. I also disagree that Mei should be moved to tank 
Tanks are durable at the cost of damage.
So characters like Mei would be more tank like than Roadhog.
Roadhog being a tank is literally just giving Mccree 600 hp and saying hes a tank because he protects the team by preventing the enemy team from being alive.
