Shooting Ashe dynamite

I really don’t understand this hit reg issue everyone speaks about, for reference, I average about 54% accuracy, 44% scoped, 10-20 critical hits per game. So I really don’t see how I am not having the issue, while others are, unless they’ve made it up in their mind.

No. That would make dynamite useless.

It doesn’t happen enough to significantly impact accuracy rates but it does happen enough it’s noticeable and can sometimes lead to lost teamfights because you failed to secure a kill that could have turned stuff around. Well that’s how most Ashe players I have seen describe it…

It’s more likely then the crosshairs are not centered, but I noticed that with every hero, not just Ashe.

oh look at this week. its down to .54% pickrate.

She’s literally the best dps in the game bar none on PSN. Her problem is that people go “if she isn’t as good as Widow or McCree, then she’s useless” on PC which is a perception issue.

I don’t think so. It would be too easy to do and would happen by accident too often when random damage hit it in a firefight. It would also be unreasonable as a lot of heroes have weapons that would have a really easy time hitting it (splash damage, melee attacks, large projectiles like Symmetra’s right click).

We don’t need to nerf Ashe. Standing in Lucios heal without the boost out heals it.

Theres also multiple forms of counter play like fade, wraith, iceblock, recall, shields, DM, Kinetic Grasp, deflect, translocate(?) and any form of healing.

It does have one direct counter, Zarya. If I see it near me. I say hi, bubble goes on and get free charge.

What’s happening is that when you press the mouse button there is a delay. So when the gun actually fires you may be off target.

Sym and Torb would offer something counter play to Dynamite if that was the case.

For you. Shes better for you. This doesn’t mean everyone is better with Ashe than they are with those heros. I’m a far far better Solider player and it got me to Masters. I’m Ashe is actually pretty trash.

Except I’m not just talking about console.

I said Orisa needed nerfs before bunker ever hit PC, because Orisa was OP on console. And I said it was a perception issue. And then what happened? Well it went from being dismissed because it was from a console player to a flood of people at all levels wanting her gutted.

There are some things that are true of console only because of our control scheme and some things that are true merely because we have different perceptions of hero’s kits.

Ashe is one of the latter imo. Many PC players that play Ashe on here say she’s balanced, and that they carry games with her. You look at her PC winrate and it is high. You look at her when she’s whipped out in the proscene and it’s extremely rare but she doesn’t do bad on the rare occassion she is used. And you look at her utter dominance on PSN, where players are literally less accurate with her but dominate everyone else. Like our control scheme is a detriment to her kit, not an enhancement.

And it’s not unreasonable to think that her issue is one of perception moreso than her kit.

The sheer fact that it’s actually one of her core abilities make me want to throw up.

  1. Give a hero a versatile gun able to destroy the opposition if used right.
  2. Give it a movement ability that enables smarter positionning and/or disengagement when dove.
  3. Also give it a long range explosive which can deal from 65% up to 87.5% of the hp of more than half of the roster.

It’s like they decided to finally make a more mechanics intensive new hero. And halfway through they thought “but what about low skill players”.
20% of Ashes I cross path with actually use her dynamite for aoe damage. 80% of them use it as a crutch because they are completely unable to hit two shots in a row.

Exactly how nowadays, 80% of McCrees can’t kill anyone without flashbang.
Or pre-nerf Hanzos who “sometimes” hit an arrow and relied heavily on storm arrow for their kills.
Or pre nerf Junkrat with the 120dmg mine whatever the distance cheesing you with a double mine combo.

That’s what I call exploiting a gimmick, I still don’t understand why it exists in this game.

I’m talking about in general, not for me personally. Individual performance obviously varies. Personally, my Ashe is trash. I am getting better at her but it’s not as good as like say Soldier for me.

people used to do that with symm, torb, mei, ect. top 500 gm with a dumpster tier hero. they were still dumpster tier.

Those heroes were dumpster tier everywhere. Unlike Ashe. But sure reject any information that conflicts with your opinion.

Because in this game you either need a gimmick or a weapon that is OP when compared to everyone else’s primaries. And we already have Widow. So they gave Ashe a gimmick instead.
