Alright, I’m tired, and I desperately need to kill some pixels after my Colts drafted a FREAKING QB in the NFL Draft…but at least it’s Sunday AND it’s May Melee Knockouts time!
As to who wins this one? I’m 85% confident Fusion will take this one 3-1.
The Shanghai Dragons succeed in taking Nepal, before they hold the Fusion to a draw on Volskaya, and the Dragons maintain a 1-0 lead heading into the second half.
AFTER MAP 2
Nepal (Control): Shanghai Dragons 2, Philadelphia Fusion 1
Volskaya Industries (Assault): Philadelphia Fusion 2, Shanghai Dragons 2 (DRAW)
MATCH SCORE Shanghai Dragons 1, Philadelphia Fusion 0
NEXT UP: The second half of Dragons vs. Fusion. Philadelphia map pick. It looks like they selected Eichenwalde.
Here is how Carpe got there…
Carpe was the second shooter on the grassy knoll.
I haven’t been watching too much OWL very closely, but was Paris and Lunar Colony taken out of the map pool?
There are only three maps in Escort, Assault, and Hybrid maps used in each tournament stage. For Assault yes, HLC and Paris are out. It is unknown if they will rotate them in at all considering they are indefinitely out of the Competitive pool.
They should be back next tournament for the June Joust, assuming that they rotate Assault maps.
As for the match at hand, the Fusion come roaring back and now find themselves one map away from going to the Global May Melee!
AFTER MAP 4
Nepal (Control): Shanghai Dragons 2, Philadelphia Fusion 1
Volskaya Industries (Assault): Philadelphia Fusion 2, Shanghai Dragons 2 (DRAW)
Eichenwalde (Hybrid): Philadelphia Fusion 2, Shanghai Dragons 1
Havana (Escort): Philadelphia Fusion 1, Shanghai Dragons 0
MATCH SCORE: Philadelphia Fusion 2, Shanghai Dragons 1
NEXT UP: OVERTIME! A Control map tiebreaker will be played. If the Shanghai Dragons win said Control map tiebreaker, a winner-take-all Escort map tiebreaker will be played.
2 Anas on well, one of them needs to sleep one of those flyers into it.
Talk about flushing your ult down the toilet.
The well is pleased with the sacrifice lol
Fusion had zero response to Lip’s Sombra. Even switching their supports did nothing.
And we are going to a MAP 6!
AFTER MAP 5
Nepal (Control): Shanghai Dragons 2, Philadelphia Fusion 1
Volskaya Industries (Assault): Philadelphia Fusion 2, Shanghai Dragons 2 (DRAW)
Eichenwalde (Hybrid): Philadelphia Fusion 2, Shanghai Dragons 1
Havana (Escort): Philadelphia Fusion 1, Shanghai Dragons 0
Ilios (Control Tiebreaker): Shanghai Dragons 2, Philadelphia Fusion 1
MATCH SCORE: Shanghai Dragons 2, Philadelphia Fusion 2
NEXT UP: DOUBLE OVERTIME! A winner-take-all Escort map tiebreaker will be played. Fusion will have the map pick, while the Dragons will select whether to attack or defend. Reminder that as Havana has already been picked earlier, Fusion will only be able to select Dorado or Watchpoint: Gibraltar.
The look on ZP’s face when he realized he was wrong.
Philly Fusion is rapidly melting down.
And now you could say the Fusion have gone NUCLEAR!
Fusion is in a really bad spot here. Remember the mid season Asia finals in Season 3 between Shanghai and Seoul on Junkertown?
