There are thousands of Bastion units. It is just the only one who gained sentience. Bastion units are genderless because they are not ‘alive’, they are programmed machines of war. They are weapons. Bastion in the game has gained sentience but still has original, genderless programming.

The Overwatch team consists of a very diverse group of people. That’s why we have such a great cast of characters as it is.

It has taken a while, but a lot of people are starting to see a lot of the ‘woke’ stuff or whatever you want to call it is just a different form of racism. This time, by well off white people who go down a mental check list of things when they see someone that isn’t white to know how much they got to pretend to feel bad for that person.
Kings tool is literally this way of thinking manifested. I don’t think people understand how incredibly disgusting it is to have your skin color, gender, sex, culture, and economic situation shoved into a tool like this to give a rating, especially from a minority perspective. It is the best way to say you just create tokenized characters without saying it outloud.
It is all so performative it isn’t funny.

The best way for the OW team to prove that they’re not going to rely on tools like this is probably to create a character that would score zero on it across the board. Prove that they’re not going to let this sway them in their character designs.
My understanding is that the tool rates characters based on their “diversity” so a character like Ana rates higher but a character like Cassidy rates lower…how is this not racist?
Imagine the reaction it would get if the tool were reversed and they rated Doomist low because he’s black and Soldier high because he’s white…
this was completely unnecessary and an absolute joke.

It’s already how things work, and it’s that way for a while. Pretty sure, that “index of diversity” to measure, how diverse are movies, games, or companies are, is already in development. In same way your credit score decides terms of loan you can get.
Since whole “diversity” so far is entirely subjective thing in terms of how far it should go, it seems like obvious choice to let computer decide it.
Even if this tool was being used by Blizzard, your post was a lie anyway, and you misrepresented it. People and their revolting lies are truly a sign of the times.
