These posts seem to be somewhat dead tonight, I wonder whats going on.

I’m going with Dragons taking this one, but it could go anyway, both teams seem strong right now.

I think some other Twitch thing is happening. I also personally have been playing so much comp that I have mostly backgrounded it tonight.

I like Shanghai Dragons though so I’m watching this one.

Yeah the group stages of TI9 for Dota 2 are going on right now. I didn’t think there was that much crossover, but maybe I was wrong.

This game draws a lot of people who mostly play mmos and mobas. Like half my guild in eso also plays this game. And I know a lot of people who like Mobas who do too.

i didnt know people still cared about dota 2

Its still one of the biggest gaming tournaments, so far this years cash pot is over $31m. I actually prefer it to OWL, but TI only happens in the summer, so OWL fill out most of the rest of the time.

Dynasty just showed how to shutdown a Doomie and Pharah with Sombra. Lol

hey real quick, does anyone here know the like, official rules/set up for widow 1v1s the league does sometimes? i was trying em earlier with a friend but i couldnt get it quite right

Head shots only, vemon mine can be deployed but will do no damage (Will still reveal the opponent), first to 7 or first to 9.

how do you even set it so the venom mine can be deployed but does no damage?

You can set it so only headshots do damage. Since venom mine can’t headshot it will do no damage.

i was about to say “but seoul can still draw” but then i realized thatd still end in seoul winning the series so…F

I posted this at the end of the Florida vs Boston match, but now that all matches have been locked up for today, here is an update to it.

Season Playoff implications for Friday, August 16th, 2019:

Washington Justice vs Atlanta Reign:

  • This match has no playoff implications for the Justice; they are already eliminated from playoff contention.
  • The Reign need to win this match in order to still have a chance for a Top 6 spot. A win will certainly increase their odds for a Top 12 spot though. However, if the Reign lose this match (or any of their remaining matches for the stage), then they will be knocked out of contention for a Top 6 spot.

Chengdu Hunters vs San Francisco Shock:

  • This match has no playoff implications for the Shock; they have already locked up the 3-seed no matter what happens.
  • The Hunters need to win this match to keep their chances of staying in the Top 12 higher.
    • In addition, if the Hunters win this match, they will eliminate both the Paris Eternal and the Dallas Fuel from playoff contention.

Los Angeles Gladiators vs Hangzhou Spark:

  • If the Gladiators win this match, they will lock up the 4-seed for the Season Playoffs (both the Spitfire and the Spark can no longer pass them if the Gladiators win this match).
  • If the Spark win this match, they will lock up a Top 6 spot for the Season Playoffs.
