Season 9 Patch Notes ‼️ Leaked/Spoilers

Play cover as your tank takes space. I try to save big cooldowns for them. If I throw lamp to help him push lol then by the time we get past their bastion will melt my tank hehe.

Wouldn’t it be nice if your DPS could safely push up against that level of extreme burst and wreck that Bastion / Widow / Hanzo.

But it won’t help much if that Widow / Hanzo just domes you DPS or other support, or you.

If only there was an ability which helped you push in those situations, where one shots and high burst was a problem

Try it sometime, you may find it more useful than you think.

I just call it Sombra.

And if I had support Sombra, for when I was playing support, I would ABSOLUTELY play the hell out of it.

These days I mostly DPS Sombra or Mei. Both of which are other ways to deal with them, and I don’t play support much at all.

But the support players don’t get such choices sadly. Nor can they force your team to actually switch to them.

But they DO have something which is useful… (Reddit Lucio) - I mean, Lamp.

I call it Kiri

sometimes Moira hehe

Lets be honest, sometimes so do I

The point is, with burst being toned down, lamp won’t be as needed. Sure Widow will still be a menace, but there is a lot of burst which isn’t Widow.

IMO this is essential. It’s the only essential change required aside from fixing/removing immortalities, to fix OW Too.

With losing the 2nd tank, we lost significantly more team dmg mitigation than we lost team dmg output. This is why there is only 2 things that happen in most games. You explode and die in a second. Or you don’t die and live forever. The burst damage and burst healing is too ridiculous, designed for having 2 tanks that can mitigate damage.

So they either needed to nerf all damage/healing numbers by roughly 15-20%, or buff HP pool. This should have happened at the release of OW Too, not over a year into it.

I hope these changes are all real because they’re going in the right direction. At last Lucio gets the buff he needs, and Pharah’s change look very interesting.

Now they just need to nerf immortalities.

I am just interested with the damage new passive and the increase HP for all heroes.

I think they will soon. With burst being less, things like lamp don’t have to be as strong.

Healing suppression and increases in projectile size means people will be getting less healing during battle AND taking more damage. So, I think it makes a lot of sense to increase HP a bit to compensate to ensure that people don’t melt

It depends on how much the healing are reduced, but I agree with you.

Thank you, I learn from the best.

I hope it is, because these changes just creates more problem rather than fix the issues.

I… I just… They said they’ve now decided that ‘Overwatch should be a competitive sweaty shooter at its core, and they’re going to be pushing it as hard as they can in that direction.’ And their solution to do this is…to reduce the skill floor of all heroes by giving hitscan volume and increasing projectile sizes? Huh? “Competitive sweaty” = easier?

Don’t get me wrong, the jump from 0 to 0.05m is small, but just, why? And keep in mind that this difference is magnified on your screen as distance to the target decreases. It may be negligible at range but at 10m or less, 0.05m is noticeable and just makes heroes like Tracer and Sombra easier. And is Illari going back to 0.1m or higher? After I spent like 90 hours mastering her at 0.05m? She feels so incredibly rewarding now, and they’re just gonna take that reward away from the people who have earned it?

Assuming this is real, Overwatch just took one more enormous leap toward being a MOBA. Admittedly, I’m still kind of excited to play it and try something totally new and different, but there’s a very strong chance this will be my last season until next year’s major overhaul patch.

It is going to feel like total mayhem, with the total mayhem cooldown part, which is eh…

The devs could have just address those abilities first, changing from immoralities to damage reduction.

This is likely meant to be 0.08.

If it isn’t, things are going to get real interesting, real fast.

:rofl::rofl::rofl: that would actually be hilarious and totally worth it to see as an error for a couple days.

After thinking about it more…I guess the attack size increase would be to reduce the power of juking, especially on certain heroes like Kiriko, Sojourn and Moira. It approximates the end goal of movement acceleration without needing to add it. Still kind of sounds like piss but I could be wrong.

At the same time they are decreasing Kirikos kunai box (which ya feels like a hanzos arrow) instead of fixing what is pissing most people off her get out of jail free cards. She will still be good and annoying and nonpunishable.

Lucio is back baby time to frogger out and get those juicy environmental kills.

When they said Lucio Mercy might not be that bad anymore they where not lying those 2 might be very strong for their dps pocket potential now dps are much better at killing things due to the passive that pocketing them will get major value.

I would have to wait for the changes to come out as some changes might change from the “patch notes”
