Season 9 Crashing on Nintendo Switch

At best, it lets me play through an entire game until the kill of the game is shown and then closes so I don’t get any credit of the play and the leave penalty.

I contacted the support and they said it was “just your console” when my switch is under 1YR. I keep getting kicked out mid matches!

Me too!! I got banned for like 3 hours one time decided to stop playing because i dont want to risk banning my acc bc of their lousy update

I reported this problem to the staff, detailing:

“Hi, I hope you’re doing well. I’ve been experiencing some technical hiccups on my Nintendo Switch since the recent update and could use your help.
Here are the details:

  1. Encounter an error message, “Downloadable content cannot be played,” at launch.
  2. Notice delayed and random appearance of new screen fades.
  3. Experience game crashes mid-match without an error code.
  4. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but issues persist.
    Additional Info:
  • Nintendo Switch is less than 2 years old.
  • Adequate storage available.
  • Stable internet connection with full network bars.
  • Disabling killcams and outlines didn’t resolve the problems.
  • I’ve tried suggested options from FAQ and they haven’t resolved my issue.

I usually play in a group, and even when I disconnect, the other person stays in the game. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Dealing with constant mid-game crashes is frustrating. While I’m not suspended, the issue persists. Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Support team gaslighting goes crazy.

It took me atleast 3 days and multiple tries.

Did this eventually work for you? I have foloowed all the instructions as well and deleted and reinstalled the game more than 3 times (pretty much every day) and dtill no success.

it does not work. Its the game itself that has an issue. Idk why they’re trying to make it seem like its our console

This happened with Paladins to but not this badly.

Im very worried that they aren’t going to roll out a fix due to thinking it’s “just our consoles”. I’ve lost two endorsement ranks and have a 75% xp decrease now, i am sick of getting penalized for their mistakes

That technical support worker that you reached probably didn’t have all the details or wasn’t authorized to say anything other than sticking to the script. Developers active on this forum are aware of the issue and are doing everything they can. You can check the blue sticky post at the top of this board to find the most up to date information. I know it’s frustrating, I just wanna get back on the grind myself, especially since I have a long weekend, but I also empathize with the developers. As a programmer myself, I understand that a bug this massive can be incredibly difficult to diagnose and fix. I trust that they mean it when they tell us they’re doing everything they can.

I am, a game programmer. This happens so often it would have been caught if tested. Very disappointing

For me, mine takes a long time to load into the game and when I try to play a match it takes a long time to load and most of the time the match kicks me and when I enter a match the players I just dots and I can’t play this happend a few times after I got the software error when it would just close the game so the bug has gotten worse for me. My wifi connection is fine the big os getting worse.

Glad to hear that using a tank is working for you. I can’t say the same. I only play tank and support and it closes each time. Again, glad to hear it is semi-working for you.

Its happened in probably 50% of the comp games I’ve played since the update. Its really frustrating and has resulted in a few losses. I feel like we need to be compensated for this if this doesnt resolve soon.

Since OW2 has been launched, they’ve had issue after issue. I had zero issues playing ow1 on switch. With every update it seems to be getting worse. Its resulted in game losses and it’s super frustrating. Ive even made purchases on events and dont get the correct items and all they wanna do is refund credits instead of solving the issue. As long as we waited for the new game you think these bugs would have been fixed seeing that this really isnt entirely a new game, just OW1 updated without the promised PVE or other features. Its gone to doodoo since Kaplan left…

Interestingly, it maybe only closed at most 3 times on me during season 8. I played a few games the same day prior to the update and no problems. Since the update, every match.

I have had some success with turning off killcam, but it’s frustrating that there hasn’t even been an update. If it can’t be fixed, I’ll what about the battle pass I paid for? Very annoying
