Hoping for a great match here. Seoul is crushing it this stage and Shock is the Shock.

Shock should win this one, but they didn’t look as good as last stage so far. I’m still giving it to Shock but I think it’s going to be a close match.

Alrighty, boys, I’m back. And I apparently missed a lot. From Twitch server issues to Fusions smashing his desk in anger (which I’m still not 100% sure Fusions will be able to get away with that outburst without punishment from the league), I have a lot of catching up to do (both here and on the OWL viewer, which I will be downloading later tonight after the matches).

I’m hoping for a good match. Seoul is making preparations against them very difficult, Shock need to right the ship after losing against the Outlaws (and they also need to prove they still belong in the Top 3 in the OWL power rankings), and Monte needs to explain himself after getting in a Twitter flamewar with Outlaws fans (which is not going to reflect well on Blizzard if he keeps it up).

Just as a reminder, any matches for this week will not appear in the replay viewer until Monday or Tuesday

I missed this. I know Monte has always been an outspoken critic of the Outlaws but what did he say this time?

Watching the guy who played Geordi La Forge from Star Trek The Next generation play Overwatch is quite the interesting experience.

Aww I missed that.

I had no idea Mica Burton was his daughter until she brought him out in front of the crowd a few weeks ago. Neat!

Basically, Monte continues to be critical of the Outlaws (even after this week), Outlaws fans are calling him out on it, and now Monte is trolling and accusing Outlaws fans of twisting words.

Although I understand Monte’s tweets (and his viewpoints) are always weird, if he continues to try and engage the Outlaws fans with his trollish and flaming behavior, I don’t see any reason for the OWL to either suspend him from casting for the rest of the regular season or cancel his contract outright.

Cos let’s face it, if players can’t get away with trolling/toxicity on Twitter (which they have agreed not to do as part of their Player Agreements), then OWL casters should be no different.

Darn it people! Buy a Coca-Cola!!

Like I said in the other thread, Fusions wont face any penalty because Jake did the exact same thing and didn’t face any penalty. Though that could be because they are trying to build him up as a poster boy for the league and don’t want any negative press for him.

When it comes to Coca-Cola and Pepsi, it’s always a nightmare if you’re my university’s esports club. Because while OWL is sponsored by Coca-Cola, my university (and by extension the gaming club) is sponsored by Pepsi. This forces us to carry Coca-Cola products to be used during any events directly monitored by Blizzard (such as TESPA matches, OWL watch parties, etc.) and Pepsi products for anything university-related (such as filming videos by campus/professional media, any events promoting the esports club, etc.)…it’s a nightmare if you’re the manager of the esports/gaming club.

I hope Seoul can keep it close.

hey guys  saw that Valiants finally won yesterday

This is getting very interesting…

Don’t wanna jinx it but I really hope that Dynasty wins this.

This is going to be a very close match.

You jinxed it…

Certainly did.

Expect Shock will Win, but it won’t be a roll. Probably even go round 5.

Would like to see Dynasty win though.
