This was always one of the most stupid takes I have heard on this forum. Does not surprise me since the majority on here are in metal ranks. Countering a Widow with Sombra does not work in ranks where people play with their monitors turned on. She is going to have a Brig or Kiriko sit on her 24/7, especially if it is a good Widow.
