SA Servers with several latency problems! Help US!

I had some matches today with normal ping (50-60ms) but fells laggy, the chracters teleporting a little bit, games feeling slowly and the habilities don’t computing when we click. The SA server is online but is dropping and has connection problems and low performance.

I’ve been having the same issue for a month. It was not always, but every 2 or 3 games, a game high latency (180ms+) happened. Everyone in the server was from Latin America but it was like we were connected to a US server.
The problem has got worse today, I’ve been connected to several 300ms+ servers, which made the game almost unplayable (and again, all the players in the game were from Latin America and were complaining about the ping).
I play Overwatch since OW1 launch and it has never happened before. I hope Blizzard fixes this issue.

People are complaining, but if they dont fix the underlying issues, it will be just quick fixed again. Just to reappear later.

mine is the worst :frowning: , I got 170 - 180 ms I can’t play it …

Yeah, i keep getting connected to EUA servers with 150ms+, SA servers give me 30ms average and i don’t even have the option to block high ping servers :man_shrugging:

I Played more 4 matches: 3 with 180ms and 1 with normal latency (50-60 ms)

If the problem was on the US servers they would have fixed it by now.
Its a shame that we have to do that much to get their attention on this matter.

You must provide pingplotter data to help solve issue…

They are requiring ss of pingplotter, possibly to know the ISP routing situation, maybe because they depend on the game pinging the server and the user to get a server, but from what I see, the issue lies elsewhere. I made a post about it.

A better implementation would be to give a option to the user to choose a region, much like custom games. It would resolve most of the problems. Or at least, if they have the user latency, which should be always, only use pool of ips of that region. But given that I have been put in many different location servers, clearly that is not what it happens.

Fallback should be only if the entire low latency region is down, and that should be shown as information to the player.
