S2 has confirmed my worst suspicions

It’s more so that the individual is flagged, not the content.

I didn’t read the whole thing, but if he acted like an idiot, just move on to the next topic on the forum, no need to shut everybody’s voice you don’t like

edit: I just read all of his replies, if that’s a reason to flag someone, then those guys who flagged him have real issues.

Queue times are only faster because they’ve degraded to matching people far apart in skill to throw a game together. This has been confirmed and is partly why people are so frustrated with ranked & overall quality of gameplay.

There have been non stop complaints about 1 sided games, stomps, being matched with/against people below/above your skill far more now than there was in ow1 simply because of this. All the way from bronze to t500.

I definitely see an overwhelming negative response to the game, from user reviews, to stuff in the forums, to even the big guys on youtube channels all steaming blizzard for their poor choices. Even in its driest state of no content for 3 years people weren’t this negative about overwatch.

It’s rightfully deserved as well, people figured maybe season 1 was just shaky, lets try season 2, and it’s just as much, if not more, of a disappointment than the first season because, surprise surprise, they didn’t listen to anyone and come back with reasonable fixes. They don’t fix anything in a reasonable amount of time and it’s just old at this point. People don’t want to play against stun fist, railjourn, & hog for 2.5 more months.

People don’t want map pools. People don’t want push maps. (at least not as often). People don’t want to support and they couldn’t care less, they’ll give you something new & shiny so you’ll spend more for the BP and skins until you get bored 2 weeks in.

Well, forgive me for saying, yes, you should have to pay money to play this game. Game developers don’t work for free.

“But, I should be able to play this game and get all the skins I want for free by playing!” is what YOU sound like. No, You shouldn’t, you should have to pay money. I’m sorry that you think what they are charging is too much, most people don’t. If most people did, the prices would drop. That’s just life. Deal with it.

They’re not, they’re most likely flagging the post as spam, which has a veritable trend with this particular user.

If you’re just keeping your investigation to this singular thread, then you’re missing a bigger picture.

But think whatever you wanna think, I don’t really care.

To be fair, they have made minor changes this season, and supposedly more major changes are coming in S3. Im waiting until then to give up.

Most people do think they’re overcharging. It’s a literal meme at this point, where have you been? Also, no one just wants skins for free in a free game, many people have stated, even the guy you’re replying to, that they’d pay for the game again (and even full 60$) to get the content for free because people don’t like being nickel’ed and dimed to death. The only thing that’s a minimum controversy over fair pricing is the BP.

On one hand it’s only 10$, you get a few skins, name cards, whatever whatever, mythic skin. On the other hand a lot of people still feel like it’s a rip-off because even if you pay the 10$ for the “themed” BP, you have to pay 20$ separately per skin of the theme lmao. Most of the stuff in the BP- voice lines, sprays, icons, souvenirs, literally no one cares about. It’s all fluff. It’s filler stuff to make it seem like you’re getting something for your money, but you’re not. It’s all stuff that people didn’t even care if they got in lootboxes for free in ow1, maybe a couple exceptions.

Also, the skins you get aren’t ones you pick out or ones they’ll even use, so paying the 10$ really boils down to if you like the mythic skin or not & wanna pay for faster access to the new hero. Personally, I think zeus JQ looks terrible and they also nerfed her for some reason, so why give her the mythic skin?

People want fair prices. They would get paid if the game was a base amount, but they wanted more money so went f2p so everyone could pay them bits of money here & there. People are more likely to try a free game and spend in store than buy a game they’re not sure they’ll want. Also personally, I would never buy individual skins in a game like OW. They could be 5$ instead of 20$ and I still wouldn’t buy them, because it’s 5$ here and there and adds up over time. The quality of the skins aren’t even holding up, yet they’re still slapping high prices on them with legendary labels for mediocre skins.

If they want more money, they need to do a better job with literally everything. They’re running a clown show and taking advantage of the questionable people still forking money over to them for some unknown reason.

I don’t really listen to forums that are designed for complaining, and youtubers that echo these opinions for views. So, I guess I’ve been, not there?

The reality is LOTS of people are buying the battle pass, and plenty of people are buying the skins. If they weren’t, guess what, PRICES WOULD DROP. Blizzard is not stupid. What IS stupid, is to think that a bunch of complaints on the complaints forums represent the majority, or even a high minority, of the player base.

You don’t shut people no matter how many times you disagree or how many times they voice their opinion. We need to adapt to the world and to reality, not try to adapt every one else to our cozy little safe space. Just imagine removing everyone’s free speech when you disagree, I know this forum gives the tool to do so, but it’s really the for people who really are just trolling around. Don’t abuse those powers, and certainly not in this case.

It literally is the majority. They supposedly dropped old overwatch 1 skin prices, but the widow scorpion skin in the shop for 19$ says they backtracked on that. They claimed to make the prices of old skins match what they cost in the first game coin wise.

I have heard literally no one say the skins are fair prices. Even the people that buy them. They’re not changing prices because they want to price gouge. It’s not a hard concept to understand, because of a few who are willing to be price gouged and that does not represent the majority.

You saying you don’t listen to forums or youtubers just makes you ignorant. The youtubers are literally T500/pros :upside_down_face: who have been memeing the prices. They’re not echos of people on the forums, majority of people happen to agree.

Go to the play overwatch youtube channel, look @ the halloween event video or the season 2 reveal. Rammatra videos, and see a wall of comments of people meme’ing the prices.

It is a vast majority of people who don’t like what blizzard are doing, but Blizzard doesn’t care because there will always be people who give them money anyways & support this terrible system and their awful choices. Why? because people are short sighted and buy whatever they want, regardless of what it means. That’s exactly who these f2p models pander to. Those people, and kids with a parents card or scratch off gift card from the holidays & birthdays.

They said “oh, well, we realized how much more money fortnite & apex were making, so after 3 years we gutted the game people paid for, made them wait for 3 more years, called it a sequel just to change the monetization so WE can get more money too!” Then proceeded to make the worst version of f2p any of them has.

Then we get blind defenders like you who think consumers who want to be treated fairly & have fair prices are just “wanting everything for free” The people who say this look really stupid to the rest of the community (the majority) who know better.

You still don’t seem to get the point. If the majority agreed with you, blizzard would be making almost NO money, and they would drop their prices. It amazing to me how you still don’t understand this

Yes, at the cost of match quality.

They’re hiding the escalating queue problem with horrendous match making.

That’s perfectly rational.

But spam isn’t and is reportable.

Again, I’ve acknowledged this and replied to it, you just don’t seem to comprehend it. It is not the majority, but it is enough people forking money over, blizzard isn’t going to budge.

This wouldn’t be the first game they, or other companies, have refused to budge prices, then resulted in killing in the game or trashing the economy of it. It’s not logical to think they’re just going to give up trying to gouge for as much as they can 2.5 months in.

Also look at other scummy companies, an overwhelming amount of people hate EA for how money-grubby they are, but people still buy into it. Enough people so that they don’t change. EA is literally one of the most notoriously terrible companies out there by majority vote and they’re still at their game. Don’t pretend like blizzard would just put a halo on after negative feedback. They’ve been ignoring the negative feedback. People will always buy into garbage. It doesn’t make it the majority.

Again, go look at any reviews or youtube videos from overwatch directly & be greeted with pages & pages of people memeing about prices.

ETA: I will also reiterate that, again, making it f2p they’re bringing in more people willing to put in a little bit than charging an upfront price which also allows them to price gouge.

Its like the million dollars vs a million friends argument, don’t take the million dollars, take the million friends and get them to each give you a dollar a week. Now you’re making a million a week. Now take blizzard who brought in a bunch of people, they don’t need the majority to spend money, they need a fraction of the people who will play the game to spend money every season. They don’t care if the majority hates it.

So, why would I NOT expect to see that. Are you under the impression that people that are happy with a video gaming company, post pages and pages of posts praising them?

You are literally saying, “go visit the complaint department, and you will see complaints.” 35 million accounts played this game in the first month. How many posts are there? It better be the majority that you claim it is

People that like this game will not be bullied out by people like you. People that like this game want it to be improved, and we will not get on our knees like some people and just stay there sucking and pretending these devs are “making a great game.”

not exactly sure why this post was flagged, the junker queen changes are worrying to say the least

Uh, yes? Go look at videos of overwatch 1, you won’t see anything like what OW2 has brought in. You can’t just ignore feedback and say it’s not majority when it’s everywhere because “people are loud” then claim it’s not majority. The game literally has a 1.5 star user review on metacritic out 2,700+ reviews. ETA: even the overwatch 2 release video 5 months was welcomed with excitement, pats on the backs for the dev team, 79k likes vs 8.5k dislikes. Halloween event? 97k dislikes vs 40k likes and the same pages of memes.
Rammatra gameplay video? better, at a whopping 149k likes vs 9.4k dislikes, but pages of memes about prices. Season 2 trailer 9 days ago? 75k likes vs 45k dislikes and still pages of memes about prices.

Also adding this here because you probably didn’t see it

And they’re not just spending one dollar. As long as there’s even a small market out there willing to be price gouged, game companies will do it. Again, this wouldn’t be the first game.

What % of 35 million do you think 2700 is? You make me laugh at least.

The problem with that statement is, if the majority hates it, the majority stops playing, and the game dies. If you think that is blizzards goal, okay.

dude, the guy is literally trolling you, he knows he is not right, but he will keep splitting hair just to rile you up.

You sound like the kind of guy that would’ve protected Ugly Sonic with “just because a few thousand people are upset, millions of sonic fans still will like it”
