There is a simple solution to people who want to cook their food over a fire. Flint and kindling. People who like using it are happy. People who don’t want gas cookers are happy. Issue resolved.
Has it occured to you that I don’t WANT to rely on 3rd party tools or friends to be online, and there are ways to eliminate the need for them? If using the forums or discord is so great, there is no reason not to have the same functionality in-game. OP’s idea isn’t perfect but the solutions are obvious.
