Role Queue in Quick Play and Quick Play prblm

not saying people that want it dont exist…i question how many there are and that are willing to wait in order to do so…because the playstyle we’ve seen in there over 3 years would lead one to believe that its never been as important as people make it seem it is…or youd see more trying more often…typically if youre in the “trying” mood you go to comp…not qp

Something funny to me, is that I swear I have games on QP that are way more competitive than actual competitive very often, and that is because people are actually trying to win. But I believe that is a separate matter to how the game is actually played. As for splitting the player base, I actually think it can be a good thing, those who don’t want to play role que can play QP classic, and those who do can do it and when those who don’t want role que are “gone” the que times will improve.

I think you’re mistaken in the attitudes of players who play QP. Casual players still want sensible compositions and want to win. Role lock has been one of the most requested features for a long time now.

How? The only choice is hard diving squishies and hoping you are fast enough to not get focused.

And blade because blade is strong in every existing meta. Currently, in my opinion, if it wasn’ t for Nanoblade…

If the queue times for dps become long I’m going to complain… a lot.

Non-ranked, try-hard QP should not add 2-2 2.:sob:

not necessarily, as noted a few posts before this one

I won’t complain if the queue times are longer because I’ll be happy about the increased quality of matches.

Also it has already been stated that QP classic will be the same as current live quickplay.

with apologies, thats not actually what was stated

“…Quickplay classic, which will alow you to play quickplay exactly as you do today”

So yeah it has been stated.

The statement made in said video leaves a number of questions unanswered

Thats a direct quote from the developer update video… and no it doesn’t leave any questions unanswered it’s very clear.

Go fund yourself if you are seriously one of those QP hang out n chill people.

clarification: it leaves a number of unanswered questions

That couldn’t be further from the truth. I’ve given up on comp because of roleque

No it explicity states Quickplay classic will be the same as QP today, you tried to claim otherwise, you are wrong.

It’s on the main screen which will also lead to a degree of pickups.

Team Fortress 2 a few years back changed their matchmaking and removed Vanilla Community Servers from being accessible on the main screen.

90% + of the Community Servers died.

The circumstances are different so the results won’t be as extreme but, a certain portion of the population isn’t even going to know the other QP exists much less how to get to it.

Quick Play tends to be less toxic than Competitive and can be more relaxing.

You’ll find that players that like certain heroes and play in certain ways will be more of a fan of it as well.

For example, you’ll find Zen and Zarya players to be fans. The characters are technically labeled supports and tanks but neither actually cuts it as either in many circumstances and they both require someone else from the role much of the time.

You’ll also have players that are afraid of losing SR for whatever reason playing in QP either due to internet instability, needing to leave suddenly, or not having experience on the character.

Some of the DPS players prefer to play in 2-2-2. (I personally don’t but, some do) The Arcade QP will likely have less players than the current QP by a fair margin so it’s likely the queue time will go up for it as well when compared to live Quick Play.

If the players group with someone that queues as a tank their queue time probably won’t be that much worse.

Some players virtually never enter competitive. The whole not trying at all thing in QP is mostly competitive players that don’t care at all not people that primarily play QP. 9 times out of 10 if the person is being a problem in QP they are a Competitive Player.

Trying tends to matter more than the composition.

That’s your opinion. In my opinion, it’s a massive improvement to the game.

I already tried, I advise you to not engage with that person, lives in their own reality.

as i have already clarified, the statement made in said video leaves a number of questions unanswered. I truly do wish it said what is being claimed in the statement quoted above, but it didnt…as it is my preference that it be truly equivalent.

Happy to see Role Queue in Quick Play. Jeff did good.
