At least you could switch to save a QP game. Done it a lot and won a good amount. It’s an extremely satisfying feeling. At the end of the month, however, I won’t be able to do that anymore.

I think this is a major point that’s not clicking with people. The ability to pick up where people are slacking is just GONE. Now bad players in whatever class are bound to that, and you’re simply helpless. I cannot process how this is a GOOD thing.

I’m a flex player so I understand that this is a loss. However, what I’ve gained far outweighs this. Most of the time those games where I had to switch and carry were damn near a loss anyway. The majority of those games will be a loss as a role is given up to try to pick up someone else’s slack.

I will gladly trade that for on average games that guarantee me a decent tanking and support composition. For the people who aren’t going to be saved by someone else picking up the slack? Those players are going to drop as they naturally should have before they were bailed out by someone else.

As time goes on and the system gathers more information having more accurate matchmaking for all roles is a good thing.

Decent comps are great, but what if your dedicated DPS/Tank/Healer is absolute garbage? Now the cleanup effort for that has greatly gimped itself. That’s what I’m getting at. Sure, before that was also an issue, but at least there were ways to play around it or pick characters that can fill those gaps. Now, if your DPS is Mei and Junkrat and a Pharah is picked on the enemy team, and your DPS can’t counter for whatever reason, what do you do?

That’s the frustrating thing, and I think that’s going to further rear its ugly head as time goes on and the honeymoon period of this goes away.
