The pig pen change was good if it meant the one-shot wasn’t 90% guaranteed. Anything I see get hooked above diamond always dies, including reaper and most tanks. The range on hook is especially noticeable in higher ranks.
This character is absolute cancer to play against. Everyone is scared of peeking, harder than a Widow
I would NERF HOG this way: I’d EXCLUSIVELY reduce his Chain Hook range from 20 Meters to 15 METERS, and then watch his win/pick-ratio from there. As compensation, maybe give him 25 ARMOR to make him more ‘Tanky.’
That would FORCE HOG to get closer to actually EXECUTE his combo, making it more HIGH-RISK - HIGH-REWARD gameplay.
Not really. TAB was changed to a resource meter because Hog was a terrible tank to play in 5v5 due to the lack of power in her kit. Hog doesn’t need to continue on this nerf trend. He’s already suffering in winrate as it is.
I’ve played the hero and I play against the hero all the time.
If the hog lands the hook, unless you’re specifically playing a hero that can consistently interrupt the combo? No… it’s a kill 90% of the time.
Usually why the counterplay is to prevent landing the hook at all in the first place.
The only heroes with more HP are the tanks and someone like bastion with the armor he has. Except since I know how hog functions and you seem to believe I don’t, I also know that the entire strategy is to fire a right click or left click depending on the distance right as you animation cancel into hook, so you do a bit of damage beforehand which makes the combo even MORE consistent.
Even if people aren’t dying they are now pulled out of position and left with like a sliver of health lol.
Again there’s a reason the counterplay is preventing the hook from landing entirely. Because if it lands? They die a grand majority of the time.
Hog got reworked because he had TOO much power in his kit and just a flat out poor design. Or are we forgetting early seasons of OW2 roadhog?
They saw no one liked his design and proceeded to make it worse by straight up taking out counterplay from his kit and making stuns entirely inconsequential again breather. His rework was a total abject failure, from top to bottom.
