Mmm, yes, its Toast and I (Both able to play him in GM) who are bad and not the ultimate itself. Hmmm.
So never, if you play where Toast and I do.

Idk, but I get about the same amount of kills and the same amount of BS Tire did pre-HP buffs.
I go for quick 1-2 kills, I feel like people who go for team wipes are the most affected by said “Tire damage”. I’m not GM, but I think buffing Tire damage is something to not do, it’s not worth investing a buff there.
I mean I’m not arguing for either. It’s a goofy game but if I had to nit pick that logic BOB is a self controlled robot. Junkrat is steering the tire himself. So if he does whose steering it?
It’s implied that Junk’s the god of manipulation and time (lmao).
I think it’s game limitations of logic, recently we had a patch test for Junkrat where his Tire would go in a straight line and automatically detonate, and it was the worst change ever done to Tire.
Bob actually responds to Ashe’s target priority (like Torb turret). And Junkrat loses control for full control of Tire, that’s where the “big risk” is in. That big risk becomes riskier the longer the Tire is out there since you may as well die in the process and the Tire might get destroyed more easily.
In either sense, both are considred “Cast-time” ultimate. I’ve never seen it myself, but is it actually possible to “cancel” Ashe’s ultimate before Bob spawns, seems overly hard to me, but technically that’s how the game logic would work.
But yea, good questioning. Tl;dr, probably just a game logistic avenue to make things “simplier”. Arguably, it could work like in HotS as a final Rip-Tire upgrade instead. You get to ride the tire. That revamp would require a potential ultimate type change to probably transformation ultimate. Ultimately, Junkrat is one of the only hero to never actually receive any major change in 8 years besides 1 extra mine and self-damage removal, which is pretty much nothing when you can consider his kit fairly obsolete.
you can’t move or see what’s happening to you while you are piloting. That’s the tradeoff.
Power Creep Be Crazy xD
Rip-Tire Left Behind
because it can instant kill much of the cast.
then… stop doing that?
@Manic4Moxxie, I bet you’ve never tried playing Junkrat.
I play junkrat semi consistently while he isnt my dps main he gets plenty of play time.
stop trying to use tire like a team wipe death blossom its not for that
You ignore the fact that Rip-tire is left behind while the rest of the game is power creeping patch by patch. It’s becoming worse and more difficult to get value with over time and will continue to do so until it is given some kind of buff. We’re trying to have a discussion here about the best path forward for the balance of tire, for it to be a healthy ultimate.
the solution to power creep isnt more power creep its power reduction.
tire is a fine ultimate in a game with busted ultimates, giving junk’s ult an even easier time is just pushing the problem down the line. its not even close to the worst dps ult. riptire is fine.
Junkrat does not steer the tire. It effectively goes by itself, in game lore, by some wacky mechanical means.
Heck, he doesn’t even control when he explodes his own mines. You do, as the player. If he has a mine out, he says, “Come on, let me push it!” meaning the button for the mine.
Sounds just like a in game remainder you out a mine down and the game is telling the player. At no point does this game say that ow characters are being controlled by the player. Limited 4th wall break
No buffs needed, I think you just need to pick better hiding spots.
