R.I.P. Tank & Support Players

Which support healing have they buffed since season 1? The major buffs have all been to Lifeweaver’s healing since he was so bad at launch. He’s still not that good.

Otherwise, Ana is only +30 hp on nade impact, Moira is +5 hp/s self heal on Coalescence, ummm anyone else? Oh yeah Brig got a little bump to her health packs.

Meanwhile Illari is net nerfed on healing (once you take pylon into account). Kiriko’s heals got nerfed. Bap’s healing burst was nerfed. Mercy/Zen/Lucio are net unchanged for healing (lucio’s self heal penalty is now 0% during amp it up which is technically a healing buff).

All this garbage nonsense as well as wasted time and money when we could just go back to 6v6, put brig on the tank role, remove invulns and rez, as well as all 3 role passives, and could call it a day.

But nope, the shills and Blizzard say OW is at its best right now! :nerd_face:

dps passive should only affect normal health aka make it really good on squishies but doesn’t work on tanks until you’ve stripped them of their armor/shields. would also be a buff to characters like torb/brig/sym/bastion/zen that already have a potency to be blown up by characters like tracer/sombra/souj

What? They buffed I think Moiras healing and Illaris, because both of them did not work well with the DPS passive in the game.

Not to mention Weaver, who needed to change longer for to have the same effect before the passive introduction. We also need to mention Mercy, who had with 15% trouble and is now back to “cant outheal a torb turret”.

The only supports who needed healing nerfs where Kiriko, Bap and Ana. But instead of nerfing them, they (again) turned ALL HEALING down again.

Its stupid and nothing more. We have sub-DPS instead of support again soon. We played that game with 20% and for most characters, it still sucks.

nah, i thought that also originally when the dps passive was first introduced…but it didnt really change anything…people still played tanks and supports…i doubt this will have any affect on things…

They buffed illari’s and lifeweaver’s healing got buffed. They’ll end up buffing more heals, just you wait.

They buffed moira’s self heal during coalescence. Makes her harder to kill but not really relevant

Ana got her nade burst heal increase, brig got a repair pack cd decrease, illari got her heal beam buffed and lw got his tree healing buff. I think that’s all of them.

Mercy needs help 100%. Outside of mercy I don’t think any other support hero is that affected by it. Maybe ana more than others. Bap brig Lucio zen moira Kiri are fine though

They basically never touched healing in a meaningful manner, which is what gave us the “DPS support” meta we’ll now return to.

I really wanted to know why people say that, support always takes less than 1 minute for me, while normally dps is 3 and tank 2.

They gave Ana’s grenade 30 healing back (Still lower than what it was at 100) to 90

They gave Lifeweaver a buff to match his pre DPS passive levels of healing (55hps) because without it he was worthless

They gave Illari 10hps on her alt fire to ALSO compensate for the 15% dps passive; even though it was STILL lower than pre-DPS passive

So much healing buffs… Put 2 heroes back to JUST on par to where they were at 15%

DPS are rarely dying, only when there are no tanks and supports left alive.

Blizzard previously hated the tank and support roles, but it was implicit, some knew but they didn’t make it obvious. Now it’s clear that they hate support and tank roles.

Overwatch is really becoming Call of Overwatch, what can we also wait for… The current CEO of Blizzard is the former CEO of COD… Good things wouldn’t come from that.

Interesting. I play a lot of tank but in most my games DPS have by far the most death. Like 1.5-2x the deaths of supports on average. And usually the tank is somewhere between support and DPS in terms of deaths

This would make sense logically since as DPS you kinda have to ego the enemy team and win 1v1s that’s just kinda how the role is. If you play passively then you’re just not getting as much value.

Out of 4 comp games I played only 1 had DPS with the fewest deaths on one of the teams and one of them was a Smurf/alt so make of that what you will

Your DPS are useless then. Because even a tiny hit from an DPS in any hero cancel all incoming heaing.

Trust me, lots of DPS are sooooooooooooooooooooo bad that they needed this.

To be honest i belive this. There so many useless DPS players in the game. They cannot press LMB to fire. Or even press W to move.

The problem its because almost all matches they don’t see they are the problem. And keep spamming in chat “GG tank” or “GG sup”. As if the fault was only exclusive to tank or sup.

I mean they have 50 elims. They just also have like 23 deaths when the supports have 10 and the tank has like 17

Generally supports in masters+ are pretty good at positioning and living. DPS usually target each other not supports or the tank. Sometimes you can perma target the ana or zen but people just play moira Kiri etc so gl. The support never has to peek the enemy team to get value, the DPS do.

Generally that players in master+ play in a closed group. Almost these people don’t play with random players. Its easy to play in a closed group you have full communication with all teammates.

The problem start when you don’t have people to play together with you and must play solo with random players. No matter which gamemode is. Almost all match i play, i can provide a really good healing, but at the match end screen:

Because the useless DPS cannot kill an enemy flaking behind us. My last hope was Moira DPS and now they decresed moira damage again. They ruined zeny discord orb.

I really dont know why blizzard hate the fact the supports can deal damage and not only healing… Zeny is mainly an DPS support, and after discord orb begin ruined him almost cannot do neither damage or healing.
