Rework Mercy Proposals

revert is not an option, the devs deny the possibility and people rage badly upon hearing the word “revert mercy”

But mercys state at the moment is inherently problematic, Resurrect on an E is too powerful, Resurrect CANT in any way, Be a normal ability, It just cant, So, im going to propose 4 different ideas in order to fix it,

Rework 1: Mass Rez

First idea:

This is essentially a variation of old mercy id like to put up for,

Mercys ultimate is now Mass resurrect, But it works inherently different.

  • Mass resurrect Has a 0.8s cast time
  • Mass resurrect causes an important visual warning of her location
  • Mass resurrect only operates on the souls that are within Line of sight,
  • Mercy recieves a 30% damage resistance during resurrect cast time
  • Mercy is fully healed after the cast time, if she were to pull it off
  • Knockback no longer interrupts mercys rez, but stuns still do

Valk is now an E ability,

  • It gives mercy the ability to free flight for 5 seconds, in a cooldown of 15, Beams chain, but have Falloff, The first target will have the normal 60 Hps, and all the chained ones will only have 30 Hps, The Damage boost gives the initial target 30% extra damage, and 15% extra damage to the rest, Valk provides no regen boost to mercy
Rework 2: Resource-Based Ability

Idea 2:

Resurrect is stilll an E ability, But it is tied to a Resource meter, This resource meter fills up with healing, arround 800 healing equals 1 resurrect, The cast time works as it is currently

During valk however, the requirement is reduced by 50%,

If mercy were to die, She will lose 50% of her current healing charge,

Rework 3: Single target-Ultimate Rez

Idea 3:

Resurrect is an ultimate once again, but in this case it is a single target resurrect on an ultimate, it has an inherent propety where it can store up to 3 ultimate charges, It costs arround 800 - 1000 points to charge, Resurrect is instant and provides mercy invulnerability after pulling it off, Valk is an E ability just like in Idea 1

Rework 4: Healing-Tied Rez Ability

Idea 4:

Resurrect is an ability tied to a resource meter called “Total healing” this meter has a cap of 1200 this meter slowly increases as you do healing until the cap
Each resurrect subtracts the amount of health of the target beeing rezed to the meter For example, Resurrecting Roadhog, would cause you to lose 600 points of the resource meter, resurrecting a genji would make you lose 200, therefore making the mercy have to decide,
resurrecting a tank would yield a big loss of the meter, or she could resurrect multiple squishies, Valk stays as normal, Dying however causes a loss of 50% of the meter
