Revert Sombra pls

Wow, really?
“If you don’t like the current PTR build we should revert every change she ever gotten”? Honestly, what are you even on about?

“She is still better then she was 7 patches ago” isn’t really a great argument either…

So you want to use Translocator to cross a small gap to get into their backline, and then have no way to get out? Have fun with that.

No, they destroy them the second they touch the ground and you haven’t baited them at all. By the time you decloak they’ve already killed your Translocator.

It has literally 5hp. Most players aren’t going to reload for one bullet when they know OSmbea is right there (considering you just threw 3 Translocators at them apparently).

Why do you need to get out of their backline?

And if they shoot 3 translocators, they have used more than one bullet.

The person you replied to just misunderstood the post since I accidentally put “revert completely” in the title and forgot to remove it before. Sorry bout’ that.

Because you are the only one there behind the whole enemy team and the detect range has been increased so you’re pretty f***ed if a Zen or something gets close to you. Obviously.

The detect range has not changed at all.

Continuing the discussion from Overwatch PTR Patch Notes - July 5, 2018:

It was 2m before. They reverted the increase.

Are you kidding me? Do you want to stay 1v6 against the entire enemy team?

Why would you drop out of stealth when you are alone?

You drop out when the engagement starts.
When you tell your team to attack.
When everyone goes in and it’s a 6v6 fight.

You are then behind the enemy, and the last person they will start fighting.

If you positioned yourself well, then you kill one of their healers.
It’s then a 6v5 fight, where your team has the healing advantage.

After this, you can continue shooting the enemy team in the back, while your team shoots and hits them from the front.
Doing a pincer attack.

If you win the team fight, you are now safe.
If you lost, then your whole team lost, and there wouldn’t be any point in you still being alive.

oml you don’t know how to play Sombra. At all.

Sombra is an initiator. You have to open up the fight. That is your primary job.

Sombra is not and opportunist. Sure she can do that sometimes but a hero like Tracer is much better for that.

If you’re sitting there waiting for things to happen as Sombra, you’re going to lose.

Again. I am talking about how to play the new sombra.
Not the old.

The enemy team will kill you before focusing the rest of the team if you do that. What are you on about? Lol.

And again, if you sit there not doing anything, you’ve lost.

Sombra doesn’t have good enough mid-fight utility to decloak after an engagement. The most reliable way for your team to use our Hack utility is to wait for it to actually be successful, and then engage.

Nothing in the patch notes changes this. At all.

Then they have their back to 5 enemies, instead of 1…

Which would be a really bad idea.

Why would your team engage before you are in position?
They need to wait.
It doesn’t matter if it takes you 10 seconds longer to start the engagement If you win it.

You only need three people to turn back for one second and you’re dead. Suddenly your team is fighting 5v6. I am starting to doubt that you have any understanding of the game judging by the way you’re encouraging people to play this hero.

Well actually it does matter. If the enemy decides to engage before you’re ready, you’re useless for a few seconds and you’re probably going to lose.

Your team isn’t “engaging before you’re in position” though. That isn’t the problem. The problem is that Hack can be inconsistent. To effectively utilize that utility that Hack offers, teams will actively do nothing until a Hack has already completed, as engaging beforehand leaves you open to being caught out with a failed Hack.

If the enemy wants to go away from the point to engage, then you can just go visible and take it…

Yeah dude just backcap them LUL.

Are you kidding me? Is your strategy to actively lose a fight 5v6 and hope that the enemy is dumb enough to let you have the point?

If it works for owl, it should work for you.

No, it doesn’t lmao.

You aren’t understanding how the Horizon Sombra works at all.

The Orisa comp isn’t engaging on anything. The only reason why Sombra is used over Tracer in Horizon is because Sombra is better versus D.Va. They can both put pressure on the point.

That is not at all the same thing as seeing your team get engaged on and then actively running away from the fight and then trying to backcap.
