id say they were pretty clueless even before the launch of overwatch
thats why project titan got scrapped in the first place
but hey, that big waste of time and resources that the team thought was a huge mistake ended up being recycled into one of the greatest game franchises of all time
so i suppose the moral of the story is that bob ross was right and overwatch was a happy accident

eliminate some dive heroes then, and make tanks like ramattra and orisa have damage fall off, instead of having unlimited range
Knowing what we know about the lore now, I wonder how good this game could have been.

not much better imo, they tank design principles are bad, and though it has given us some interesting gems, a product launched with all the ow base game problems but with many more characters would have been very hard if not impossible to steer for good
S9 was the 2nd main worst thing after map voting in my books.
I fear the ship has likely sailed on a full undo though. It succeeded at what they wanted with making the game more appealing to a casual audience and reverting it wouldn’t over well. At best, we’ll keep having a snail’s pace reversion hero by hero.

It was a remedy for a 5v5 problem imo. People complained about stompy matches loudly since 5v5, and it wasn’t MM problem. It was because both 1 raidboss tank and its counterswap, and no offtank peeler. A structural solution was required, and it was S9 patch and 50% crit reduction for tanks. TTK was prolonged and healing reduction helped that it isn’t too long so that the match doesn’t feel too stompy even if your losing definitely.
Its really weird how nobody outside of this forum complains about this. Wait its not weird its just the same group of people making the same thread every few months.

What other places critically engage with Overwatch where someone would complain about it? Best I got is reddit and complaints about this in particular do pop up there from time to time.
Is it weird that my parents don’t bring it up on Christmas dinner? I wouldn’t say so, personally
