That would be more logical, in my opinion; however, I guess Overwatch prefers that it takes you nearly 300 games to hit your rank if you are starting on an established bronze account because that’s a lot of retention. It would take you multiple seasons. You could just hit your actual rank in Mahvel after a couple of sessions.
