Currently I am experiencing an issue with Overwatch where after a few matches my entire monitor would freeze completely until the entire system shuts off or I manually restart it.
I have already tried a fresh install of both the recommended and most recent AMD Graphics drivers and reinstalling the game.

Just to set some expectations: Blizzard doesn’t offer official support for system lockups/freezing because they are not a function of the Overwatch client, and only your operating system has access to functions like this. Instead, they indicate a configuration, driver, or hardware issue with your system.
In this case, I recommend looking at the timeout error being caused by your GPU (error 116). Your specific GPU has an issue with its driver software, which has been previously discussed here:
