So Brig players have to endure her shield bash stun being removed but Ana players get to keep their sleep dart because it makes for “sweet highlights and counterplay opportunities”? What kind of excuse is that?
Brig’s shield bash stun can also make for “sweet highlights and counterplay opportunities” when you stun an ulting opponent, for example!
If you’re going to remove one support’s crowd control ability then you damn well better remove ALL support crowd control abilities otherwise you’re just playing favourites.
Also, “you can shield bash enemies to trigger inspire and move to safety without ever lowering your shield” is completely false because, as any Brig player knows, her shield gets shredded in less than a second because of the pitiful amount of health it has.

The alternative is to significantly increase the shield bash cooldown while giving Brig no other buffs - that’s what happened to Ana.
I have no issue with removing the stun from shield bash, because it sounds like the higher damage, longer range, and significantly shorter cooldown will more than compensate for it. Without those, it would be a very different story.

crying at the reasoning they used to keep sleep in the game

The point is that they are removing Brig stun and keeping Ana’s dart because the dev team prefers Ana, simple as that, she is more flashy and has better highlights I guess.
Ana gets to keep her utility so she can make cool plays, and because of that they removed the part of Brigs kit that was what made her do cool plays herself, for example: interrupting an ult that would otherwise kill your team, intercepting a charging Doom or Rein about to kill someone, etc.
Things that made your other team mates say something on the lines of “Thanks for saving me bruh”, “nice play”, etc.
What cool plays are you going to do now?
You are not saving anyone by any other mean that throwing packs that’s for sure. Brig is going to be Support that only does damage and heals automatically.
Killing a random hero low on health with shield bash, sure it’s helpful, but that doesn’t make you any different that any other support that can do dps, no different than Ana killing something from far away with her scope.
Brig is going to become a dumb and simpleton version of what we have in OW1 right now (easier escape and just do more dps), only so other heroes can keep their cool highlights and cool plays.
You are probably going to get flamed more by playing Brig in OW2 since they are removing options that made players think on how to use the Shield Bash.
Lastly, Brig doesn’t have to have stun, but that doesn’t mean that her only utility should be “lol I dps and bash through shields”.

I’m not worried about the fairness of it, I wanna see if it wrecks OW2.
Sounds like it’ll be an automatic death sentence in 5v5.
Yeah it’s pretty disheartening to hear. I don’t get why the longest CC in the game by far can stay but the shortest stun can’t. I don’t mind brig losing her shield bash I just think the least they could do is reduce the sleep duration down to 3s. That’s still incredibly long.

Ana is in the “untouchable by balance team” group along with Tracer and maybe 1 or 2 others

I mean I really don’t mind Ana keeping her dart, is the reasoning behind it that baffles me. That and the path they are putting Brig because of it (as of now, and based on what they have shown and Said), a dull support.

Indeed, remove all CC or keep it all. No half butts or playing favorites.

But they are doing it halfway. Brig still has whipshot.

True. They should remove the knockback but make it go through shields and have the ability to headshot.
I mean, if they keep removing parts of her Kit. I wouldn’t be surprised if they removed the boop and replace it with more damage, and why not, proc insipire even if you hit a barrier.
Ana having both dart and nade is just this insane problem with 1 less tank. Idk why she hasn’t gotten more changes.

When ana sleeps a nanoblade it’s skill, when brig bashes her skull into genji’s head and stuns him it’s not.

Right?
And I don’t know why they’re increasing the cooldown for sleep, it was already long enough, the problem is the impact it has by itself. We don’t really need anymore ults on CDs…
I’d rather they just nerf the abilities themselves, and maybe give a cooldown compensation buff.

I can see that, the thing is, Ana already has other haymaker abilities, the “flashy” ones, or fight wining.
If you land a good nade, your team wins the fight, sleeping the tank can also result in that.
And about Nanoblade, I mean there is a Nano in nanoblade lol, she has basically 2.5 abilities that can produce highlights or be life saving/fight wining (even if one of those is using Bladebot genji).
Brig had one, one ability, and now it’s gone.

Except when they removed speed from Nano.
Or when they reduced nade healing boost.
Or when they reduced nade effect time.
Or when they reduced the heal on Nano.
Or when they reduced sleep duration.
Or when they reduced Ana’s ammo count.
Oh and let’s not forget that it seems like Ana’s getting a fairly significant cooldown increase on sleep in OW2 (subject to change tho).
Let’s not pretend she’s anywhere near as untouchable as Tracer, who has received only two nerfs, which were just partial reverts of previous buffs.

Of course it’s not fair. But that’s because they’re not making a game that’s fun to play, they’re making one that’s fun to watch. How many tank players are looking forward to becoming Ana’s enormous dart board once the other tank goes away?
If they were being fair then every single one of Ana’s abilities would have been gutted long ago. But no, now she’ll be even more of a must-pick as the only support with a stun, and the longest one in the game at that.

And despite those changes, the devs still acknowledge her by name when saying that Supports are the most Impactful Role in OW2 (in their playtesting):
“Not only healing output but utilities like Mercy Resurrect, Ana Sleep Dart/Biotic Grenade, Zenyatta Discord, etc”
Nerfing the same character multiple times and still is one of the most impactful ones just means that before she was overpowered.

I only blame her if she doesn’t as its to be expected to hit SB.
I never expect my ana to land it on that dashing nano ninja…
