Wide Match is the worst mechanic implemented in this game. Its not that I can’t go against solos idgaf about that but the queue times are horrible to match my friends and I on comp against a similar group of players and the queue restrictions ARE THE DUMBEST IDEA created for comp.
This Wide Match restriction prevents my friends and I from playing the roles we want to play. I want to play Tank and Damage roles not be forced to only play support 24/7 its horrible, why even bother playing with friends when you can’t play the role you want. My friend is forced to play Tank and another is forced to DPS only when those are the roles they don’t want to play and are placements are not even that wide or far apart. We’re between Gold 2 - Plat 1 on placements for the 3 roles but we are stuck to only 1 role. Whats the point of selecting all roles as an option when wide group players are going to only be restricted to 1 role they may not want to play.
Last Season and the previous seasons when my friends and I would queue and select the ROLES WE WANT TO PLAY and I would select all roles so I can let the game decide if I’m Tank, DPS, or Support. But now in this season the game forces me only to play Support and its SO BORING being stuck to 1 role FOREVER. Some may like playing their 1 role and thats fine which is when selecting roles for comp they give you the option to only select that role to guarantee you get it.
But this wide match is horrible because the concept and how its created is to pair you up with another wide group who have the same rank in a role as you. So because someone else is queueing up in Gold Support in their wide group the game is forcing me to play my Gold support to match with them which is preventing me from playing my Plat Tank and DPS so i can’t continue to move in the ranks on those roles AT ALL. And because of the game forcing me to play a certain role because someone else out there is queueing in their role is causing such a long queue time bc of the restriction of players to play against in comp. My friends and I are waiting in the lobby now on average 5 - 10 mins before it finds a match. Last season and the previous season on average the queue would take 30 seconds - 1min.
Remove the Wide match its causinf more harm to groups than its helping. Longer Queue times and Restrictions on roles to be in comp with friends.
Not boosting off of anyone I only play on my main and so do my friends we all play on our mains so how can we boost you idiot.
And what does boosting have to do with me not being able to play Tank and DPS and only being forced to one role? How is that boosting hello? Did you read what i typed out or are you a noob that thinks any negative feedback to this season is going to affect your solo queues.
So me not boosting is going to help me play the roles i want to play that the game is restricting me from playing because someone else is queuing in a certain roll with their rank and the game is trying to put me in it so they are not waiting in queue forever? Sure your response TOTALLY makes sense.
And how can i boost when my friends and I always play together and we all get our placements together so tell me where and how that means I’m boosting?

They say its boosting yet our 4 stack have been playing together for years and barely ever rank up. Blizzard has screwed our long time 4 stack over. Cant even queue a game due to the 5 div rule. Plat 1 but cant play with gold 2 friends lol. Thanks Blizzard

Clearly we’re boosting by Sue because of this season change of not allowing 4 stacks to queue and not allowing my issue my friends and I have of playing the roles we want to play because of the wide match restrictions.
Clearly we just have to stop boosting so simple, if only Sue was correct and would think before she speaks.
Yeah, we have the same problem. It’s always been tougher vs solo queue for us, but it’s more fun to play together. Now we can’t if we lose a member. We’ve had to solo queue to actually rank up, so I don’t know what that noob was on about.

There is one member that’s only 6 divisions away from the lowest member. That’s the reason we can’t play in a 4 stack. That person or the lowest person has to leave or we play QP and stomp everyone.
This is how i know you didn’t read what i typed in my top post i mentioned my friends and i rank placements are between Gold 2 - Plat 1 those 2 divisions are right next to each other how is that boosting?
Sue you’re an absolute idiot nowhere in my top post have i mentioned that i can’t play with friends who are lower than me to stomp on people and boost, my friends and i rank placements are very close to eachother. Depending on our roles its 1 division apart gold - plat so its not that far at all.

My ranks are Play 4 tank, Plat 2 DPS and Gold 1 Supp. My friends ranks are around my placements too and I have a friend who’s Diamond in DPS but he doesn’t want to keep playing DPS he wants to play Tank and Supp but the game only forces him to play DPS because someone else is queuing a Daimond DPS so the game has to put him with that player when he wants to try and move the placements on his Tank and DPS ranks to Diamond too but he can’t so how am I crying about not playing with friends with lower ranks when thats not true and I’ve stated and explained to you how your claim is false.
Same. We’re all basically the same skill level and this game doesn’t let us play if we have less than 5 players. It’s stupid, so we play QP instead. I thought it’d be better.

also, nobody cares what rank you are, it’s literal whining here on the forums that are known to be not friendly about people multiple ranks apart playing together, specially when someone whines about it.
I just want to play Tank and DPS to move up on those placements instead of being forced to my Gold Support because the game has to put me in someone else’s game because they queued up as a Gold support before me and the game needs to put me with them or that player will never find a match that has a similar rank to them.
I don’t main a certain role i choose the ALL selection and let the game decide which role I’m going to be of the 3. Now with this season i can’t do that and its getting very boring playing Support only for me. I liked selecting the all because it gives me an opportunity at every role and I’m not forced to one and getting bored from one role
I’m stating my ranks in this forum not as a flex but to explain to you that my post isn’t about not being able to boost off of solos that you keep claiming.
The what is wrong with you is not off topic its being taken out of context it was a reply to one of your comments stating that I’m crying for not being able to boost with my friends which isn’t true.
I can play with my friends, I just was like 20 mins ago but we’re all stuck to one role forever and we want to switch and change to other roles. We stopped playing now because we don’t want to be one role 24/7 that the game chooses for us we should be able to play the roles we want while still matching up with other groups, But this update restricts the roles you want.
It’s a group game, so it makes no sense to punish us. If solo queueing is bad, Blizzard should support making groups and these people need to get on a Discord server and group up.
I cant play with my kid in comp at this point and I’m not whining about it, play with people closer in rank homie, the only one you mentioned is 6 divisions.
6 divisions is close and we could do it until this season. We want to play comp together, but this game won’t let us. This is absurd for such a team based game.
