Remove the win condition for arcade boxes

I think mystery heroes would be a lot better if there couldn’t be duplicate heroes on the same team.

Honestly I prefer the tryhard days in the Arcade week because after that it’s just throwers because it’s just Arcade.

It should be in both QP and Arcade, but not Comp. But that would generate more loot boxes than Blizz wants us to get, so I dunno.

I can’t speak for you. I really enjoy team FFA. I can play Widow there without throwing anyone’s SR (including myself) and I’m not immediately jumped on by 2 Genjis and a Winston like in FFA, and I have a team to keep the enemy occupied. It’s the only place I play new heroes with no worries whatsoever and I get the occasional teammate asking me to switch and when I don’t they leave; but I don’t care, and they shouldn’t. It’s arcade. For many people it’s frustrating because they have the same must-win mindset they have in comp but we decide that. There’s no SR at stake, we are the ones taking it seriously and ruining its fun.

I’ve always been an advocate of a system where 3 losses count as 1 win, therefore it’s still in your best interest to win if you’re after the boxes, but your time is not completely wasted if you lose. It’d be less frustrating. Basically, removing the condition that ONLY wins will give you bonus boxes.

Agree, just limit it to games played. Increase the amount of game played per lootbox, because 3 is a bit low for it, you still should take significant time in it.

I agree. Logging in to play the game and finishing a game (trying your best) should be good enough.

The only problem is making sure people are actually playing and not just loading into matches and waiting for the game to end. If they can find a way around that beside requiring a win I’m all for it.

Is it weird how Blizzard tries to work against online toxicity yet still enable toxicity from their own machinations?

People have been asking for this over a year, either they are ignoring it or simply believe making people win is the best way to hand these out. If that is the case, this means money > toxicity management.

If Blizzard wants to focus the game more on fun please consider this change.

I like the winning rewards because they normally have FFA or 1v1 in there so I have the power to win based on my own preformance.

What I’d like see is a community featured custom game. This may require more custom game options, but it would be worth it.

It’s already a mode people take much less seriously than any other, it doesn’t need to be even more relaxed. Some people play those game modes because they want to ay unique rulesets found nowhere else. You should always be playing to win, and no mode should go full troll.

This gives people an incentive to play to win, making the arcade enjoyable for those who just want to play those modes.

If all you want to do is goof off and not even try to win even a little, there is the custom game browser.

So 6 games win or lose for an arcade box?

The 3 wins presume you have a 50% win ratio.

i wish there was a win requirement to get XP for all modes, especially quickplay

Why do people care so much about lootboxes?

I encounter very little toxicity in the arcade. There is plenty of time to get the wins as well.

I honestly can’t see the “tryhard, toxic, cesspool of rage and salt” when I’m doing mystery heroes or many other arcade modes.

Why? Why care at all about the arcade lootboxes?

If it’s not fun, just play what is. You’re missing out on a handfull of lootboxes you’re going to get eventually anyway as long as you keep playing. Oh darn. /s

Actually not having to care about if it’s win or loss just because of some Lootboxes or having to grind through these gamemodes with most people still not caring about the win anyways?
I take the 9 matches of chaos you just have to sit through if you feel competetive over 9 matches you get frustrated about if you lose every day.
The HOTS weekly brawl is waaay more fun and less frustrating to play then the OW arcade just because they give you the reward for playing there, and trying out the wacky gamemode instead of putting it behind a win barrier.

i love arcade modes. Until i see a brigitte on my screen, then i have to leave and reque or start raging

I could suggest ya’ll to befriend and group up with great non-toxic teammates, thereby reducing your odds of encountering toxic people in your games as a whole…

… but nah, the whole lot of ya’ll instead choose to be lazy self-entitled brats who think the game is programmed to put you with lousier teammates against tougher teams when you start getting win streaks in competitive.

Play deathmatch. Your chance of winning is much better than playing a 6v6 mode.

The alternative would be people trolling in games just to get participation loot boxes.
